Big loss for the flames of Vegas scores stone. Our two biggest wc challenges got substantially better. Stone and Hayes are gamers

By that logic though, we don't really need Mark Stone either then.............

In actual points percentage, they haven’t been 1st in the division in a long time.

 Vegas is getting Stone.

Not that i like the idea but you could always give the 1st and get back a 2nd with the player... assuming flyers have a 2nd.

The Flames are the second highest scoring team in the NHL. I think they'll be okay.

He would look so good on a seriously inconsistent power play.
PP, PK and goal tending are the keys to playoff success no?

Anyhoo, whatever happens we will roll with it...

I'm sort of here too. All three of our biggest rival added and got better. We didn't. A bit disappointed.

Edit: We add Stone and we'd be the favorite to go the Finals. Right now I'd say it is a long shot at best.

I believe Valimaki, along with Hanifin, has the most upside of the Flames 4 young D. Just my opinion, but his all around upside precludes the Flames from including him, especially if Stone is not signed.

...and I love Stone.

To be fair you always think everything's okay with the Flames and everything's wrong with every rival team. |

I think Simmonds would improve the PP, he would also add grit and size if needed

Would be disappointed if our 3 main rivals get better today and we just sit there twiddling our thumbs

I hope he does a lot of damage to SJ for the Flames

Goals dry up in the playoffs. Our special teams are trending poorly and I still think we have the worst starting goaltending in the West going in. Of course they can do it, but the other teams all just got better and we didn't.

Every team that makes the playoffs is a long shot to win the Stanley Cup. The Flames are still as good a bet to get to the finals as anyone.
