Got my jersey back the other day, haven't mounted it yet but took some pics. I apologize for the quality, lighting is bad in our condo. Maybe some guys from the never ending photo thread could help me out
Big thanks to sureLoss and MMF for helping me lock down the stats. I haven't double checked them to see if the framer made any errors but I imagine if there are any someone on here will let me know fast. He can always ship me a new template and I can just pop it in myself. The signature is a bit hard to make out in the photos, but it is on the top of the 3. Much easier to see in person. I am happy with the way it turned out.
Spoiler!

That's awesome! That really looks great, I don't know about the stats but I know it looks amazing and you now have to get one done with his Flames jersey after his rookie year, that'll look amazing.
Imagine how cool a vladdy hockey one would look! stoopid oilerz. I just love how whenever the Flames have a good player, their fans say how they have someone just as good or better like 5 Gio's or Vladdy Hockey comments.
Johnny is amazing and that's a great tribute to him.

...if you want to compare across eras, to compare the percentage of points by Gaudreau vs. Nieuwendyk out of the entire NHL in their respective rookie years.
You then also have to also factor in the number of games played as there are now more teams & games played:
1987-88
NHL Goals For = 6,237
NHL Games = 840
NHL GF/G = 7.425
Joe PPG = 1.227
Using the formula:
Code:
'88 Joe PPG '88 NHL GF/G
__________ = ____________
'15 Joe PPG '15 NHL GF/G
'15 Joe PPG = 0.835
2014-15 (YTD)
NHL Goals For = 6,353
NHL Games = 1,230
NHL GF/Game = 5.165
John PPG = 0.782
'88 John PPG = 1.124
So, Joe has the edge... but, really, there are just too many other considerations that could justifiably be taken into account when using the stats to make a comparison - "best" is too general a term.
It's sufficient to say that both rookies are of the highest caliber ever seen by the Flames.

SN: How tall are you?
Gaudreau: I’m five-foot-nine.
SN: A lot of articles say you’re listed as a “generous” five-foot-nine. So I thought I’d ask. But you’re sticking to it.
Gaudreau: [Laughs.] Yeah, five-foot-nine.
Quote:
SN: Did you pound protein powder as a kid to try to get bigger?
Gaudreau: Yeah, definitely. My dad tried feeding me four, five meals a day, making me different protein shakes. And whenever I wanted something to eat, he’d go out of his way to make it, just so I would eat. That was the trend growing up in my household.
SN: How about today? Do you eat constantly?
Gaudreau: I still eat as much as I can to try to gain weight. But I don’t have my dad around as much because I’m living by myself now. It’s a little bit harder to get meals whenever I want.
Quote:
SN: Even you underestimated yourself?
Gaudreau: Yeah, I think so. You always gotta believe in yourself, but there’s that thought that you may not make it. I wanted to make sure it was in the back of my mind so I wouldn’t get too upset if I didn’t make the team right out of the gate.
Quote:
SN: Let’s hear about your idea for the NHL skills competition.
Gaudreau: Me and Gio—[Mark] Giordano—were getting ready to go to the rink, and I wasn’t sure what I was gonna do. We thought about how we played for the Flames—something with fire. He said he’ll bring a bucket of gasoline up to me, I’ll put my stick in, he’ll light it on fire and I’ll go down and shoot. Player Safety said we needed to practise it a few times first. We didn’t really have time to do that, which kind of stinks. But they said maybe next time.
Quote:
SN: Have Johnny Hockey and Johnny Football ever spoken?
Gaudreau: Nope, never.
SN: We should set that up.
Gaudreau: Yeah, that’d be pretty cool. Maybe we could.
SN: What are the differences between you and him?
Gaudreau: I’m sure there are a lot of differences.
SN: You’ve never lit money on fire at a strip club or ridden an inflatable swan, have you?
Gaudreau: [Laughs]. No, I’ve never done any of those things. Thankfully.

Im loving how things have worked out for Johnny, the team, and the fans.
I remember back when there was doubt about whether Johnny would sign with the Flames or go back to college for another year and become a free agent. I remember the dad making comments about having concern about Burke liking big, tough players and that Johnny might not fit that mould.
Johnny had gotten a great opportunity at the start of the season. He was put in a position to be able to succeed and he grabbed the bull by the horns and took control of the situation. He ended up being a key part of a contending team that ended up making the playoffs. He's near the tops of rookie stats this season and is contending for the Calder. I don't think him or his family could have hoped for a better result. Calgary fans and the community seem to have embraced him as well.
Im really happy for us fans and also happy for Johnny and his family.
Hello all, Normally I don't post, but my Buddy and I last night were singing "Oh No Gaudreau!" to No Means No's "Oh No Bruno". It seemed to work out well.
