What the hell is going on?
Here's an apple, it could be rotten, we don't know.
Here's an spanner, it's useful.
Here's a poem about the bond between a father and his son and the passing down of knowledge.
Given the above things, Mikael Backlund is a horrible player on a horrible contract and Brad treliving is an idiot. Also, dougie Hamilton is terrible and we'd be lucky to get Paul Byron for him in trade. P. S. Go flams go

Here are the offer sheet compensation for RFAs next season.
Because the Flames don't have their 2019 2nd, they would have to reacquire their 2nd from the Islanders to sign a player to an offersheet where a 2nd is required as compensation.

"Hey, it's Brad. We're going to need our 2nd back.
Uh huh....yep....yep.
Offer sheeting them, yep.
Thanks, I hope it works out too.
So, how much will it cost to get our 2nd back?
...a first.
...I'm going to have to call you back."

Kevin Costner would get it done, and get a backup goalie thrown in too.

When Toronto wanted to have the threat of an offer sheet to Kessel to force a trade, they need to re-aquire their 2nd round pick. Chicago owned it, so forced Toronto give them, inter alia, Calgary's 2nd round pick, which they used to get Brandon Saad.

Fair to be skeptical but at least Hayes is proving to be a decent scorer in the NHL without Johnny. How did Hnat do without Iggy again?

Wonder if a Brodie/Bennett package would be enough for Lindholm/TVD or something along those lines?
Lindholm certainly fits the mold of what BT should be looking for. Decent sized RH C with lots of ceiling left.

I'l take one Elias Lindholm please. And then we can all be happy with the 2013 NHL draft.
EDIT: Get Lindholm and Nichushkin and we good.

I would love to get Lindholm. I think he's still got a lot of room to grow. What would he cost though? He maybe hasn't lived up to his draft position, but he's not a reclamation project either.

I don't know what you guys are seeing in Lindholm. I've watched him plenty since I watch the Panthers and don't see anything special in him. An ok player who hasn't taken that next step since he came into the league five years ago.
I think Bennett, if he takes the next step (big IF I know), could very well be what Lindholm is right now. Rather gamble with him then pay for potential with Lindholm.

Lindholm would be a nice addition age wise and is a right hand shot. I think he still has room to improve so depending the cost he would be a solid add. I have always liked Jeff Skinner but he has only a year left before he is a free agent.
Peters will have a good handle on any Canes player so it wouldn’t shock me to see a deal there

Lindholm, Elias
Age: 23
Shoots: Right
Faceoff % for Peters last year: 54.4%
44 point season with 16 goals in a middle six C role.
Previous cap hit: 2.7m
Fancy stats for those that care:
Ice Time: 17:53 all situations, 13:55 ES, 2:37 PP, 1:20 PK
5 on 5 Stats: 53.3% CF, 52.63% GF
End of the day. I just want him on the Flames because I wanted him at the draft. Gods bestowed great fortune upon us as we got Sean Monahan who is living up to his billing. Still, there's a ton of Backlund in this guy. Who doesn't want a RHS Backlund?
