I don't disagree with what you are saying, but I just look back at the 2012 election and the questions of propriety about Mitt Romney holding all of his events at Marriott hotels, in a way funneling money back to the Mormon church. That was considered questionable at the time. Compared to what Trump is doing, that was nothing, as Romney wasn't directly affiliated with the Marriott hotel chain at the time (he was a past board member though). Trump learned from Romney and using his campaign to pad the books at as many of his companies as he can. Not illegal, but pretty questionable from an ethical standpoint. It does completely fall in line with his character and how he has used his charitable foundation as well, so it likely shouldn't be surprising.
I think it's way worse than what Romney was doing. Keep in mind that at one time Trump was going to "self-fund" his campaign. Then he "lent" the campaign 40 million dollars, and later claimed to have forgiven the loan, but never told the Federal Elections Commission.
Now, he is collecting hundreds of millions in donations, and has set it up so that millions of dollars a month are funnelled into companies that he owns.
In effect, he has turned running for president into a very lucrative business, business, by abusing money that has been given to him mostly by small donors. He has pulled his TV advertising, may still pay himself back the 40 million in "seed money", and will be laughing all the way to the bank in November, win or lose.
But never mind all that -- let's get back to the riveting discussion of how Clinton's charitable foundation could maybe have done something improper if there were any evidence of that, or something something emails.

Man, does CNN have a credibility issue. That interview just makes me shake my head. What is CNN thinking by putting that Kardashian wannabe across from Cuban and trying to have a conversation about an important issue like the current stated of politics in our nation. She looks like she's ready to go out on the town more than interview a serious person on a serious issue. Perceptions matter, and when it appears you have a vapid airhead conducting an interview the public will immediately tune out and consider the information irrelevant. I always tell people trying to design media message campaigns to do so with the sound off and tell me whether the visual cues will send the message you hope to achieve. This interview sends a poor message. It looks more like something you would see from Entertainment Tonight or E!online. Terrible job by CNN. I wish they would understand they are not Fox and they cannot out-fox Fox.
And well said on the Trump money issue. You really hit the nail on the head about the media avoidance of the issue.
New Clinton ad to air in the battleground states. I think it's pretty effective..or at least should be. But in this election cycle who the heck knows.
Pretty good ad.
Its clear that Clinton is playing percentage politics. Get enough parents (ad showing kids exposed to obnoxious trump behaviour), specifically mothers (ad highlighted in this quote), and veterans (ad with the WWII vet) disgusted with Trump that they vote for Clinton. It only is a matter of time before Clinton comes out with an ad aimed towards African-Americans.
I do think she needs to come out with a positive Ad showing where she has helped various peoples in various walks of life. At this point, people might feel that she's untrustworthy, that her ads might steer people towards voting for Gary "What's Aleppo?" Johnson.
At this point, people might feel that she's untrustworthy, that her ads might steer people towards voting for Gary "What's Aleppo?" Johnson.
And that is fine. As long as it is possible Trump supporters doing so, that is a victory for her. Frankly, these types of ads are exactly what will solidify support with liberal leaning voters, so it appears to be a win-win for her.
I know this is gonna stun everyone, but Trump's advisers and surrogates are beginning "Operation: Lower the Bar" in advance of the debate. And in even more stunning news, the media is playing along and reporting all the "leaks and sources" and blah blah blah. So yeah, don't defecate in pants or make period jokes = Trump debate victory.

A story about a month ago reporting that Trump raised the rent for his campaign office (based out of Trump Tower) from $35,000 a month to $170,000 a month, all paid for by campaign donations. I expected that news to be huge and all over the media. In the end, it was barely reported and I haven't heard about it since.
That's a fantastic troll job. Just put his smiling face out there to piss him off.
Cuban's run for president in 2020 will be interesting. At some point one of the Silicon Valley billionaires will take a shot.
He's probably more of a phony and blowhard that Trump. He's probably the flukiest .com billionaire of them all and never has proven to be very insightful or have any strong business sense. I agree with him politically, and give him points for being so anti-trump, but I don't want him anywhere near the presidency either.
Don't care if you're a Dem or Rep supporter, if someone made fun of your wife on twitter could you ever support them? I guess if you're Ted Cruz you can.
Quote:
Multiple sources close to Ted Cruz say the Texas senator is expected indicate his support for Donald Trump as soon as Friday.
It is unclear whether Cruz will say only that he is voting for the Republican nominee, as other lawmakers have done, or offer a more full-throated endorsement, but the idea of throwing any support to Trump is controversial within Cruzworld.
“If he announces he endorses, it destroys his political brand,” said someone who had worked for Cruz's campaign.
Steve Deace, a prominent conservative Iowa radio host who was a major Cruz backer, also tweeted Friday that the senator would endorse Trump. A spokeswoman for Cruz did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

Cruz should go full troll. Have a presser with the Donald, and go...."I endorse Donald Trump....releasing his tax returns". But yeah he's obviously a #### now and his career is over as his backers will no doubt abandon him quickly. Which is great, at least one gigantic ####### this election is going down.
