I can confirm that the #Flames⁠ ⁠ are no longer interested in Mark Stone. #Senators asking price is still too high, and if not traded, He will most likely re-sign as rumoured before.

I'm low key hoping Dallas can flip Zuccarello to the Flames before the deadline. He's not much help to them but I'd pay a 3rd w/conditions up to a 1st for him in Calgary.

He's a perfect fit, and the Flames aren't going to need any help down in March, just from April onwards.

You could tell just by the whole "Neal on LTIR" thing (which we knew wouldn't happen because Neal is not expected to be out for an extended period) that this backpedalling was inevitable. I didn't think it would be this quick, however.

Just in case there was ever any doubt this guy is an Eklund wannabe, we now know.
