hard to believe calgary has assets for both those trades unless you are talking about significant roster pieces moving

not sure if you meant this in jest...
most GMs wouldn't want a 1st round pick in 5 years... the stale date on picks doesn't go past 3 years very often because GMs need reasonably timely returns to stay gainfully employed

presumably 2 1sts for Stone plus more (based on reported asking price)
presumably another 1st for Hayes plus more (based on reported asking price)
That is 4 years of firsts right there and yes it was mostly in jest

the ask for Haynes has been a 1st + and Stone 2x1st ++
seems like there needs to be roster pieces involved for this to go through as Calgary's prospect list isn't very deep, esp if Valimiki and Andersson are off the table.

In case anyone was wondering there are no surprise scratches for the Heat game tonight.
Major prospects such as Dube, Valimaki, Phillips, Gillies are playing. Parsons is dressed as backup

Ottawa gets: their first round pick back
Colorado gets: a top defenseman and pick
Carolina gets: stone re-signed
