Dostal, Daccord and Saros are all great goalies.

Yeah there's reasons to be optimistic.

They offloaded a ton of UFA's over the course of the past year. We have a few home grown prospects making a real impact on the team. They drafted a legit star defensemen.
One potential elite star in Wolf.
The foundation is just being built on this new core for the team, yet we're still whining about being stuck in mediocre land.

As a Canucks fan, I don’t really care if they get into the playoffs, they would just get swept in the first round. So best sell if they can.

I get the sentiment that the Flames are shy of a 1C, and that needs to be addressed.
What I don't understand is how selling Kadri and Anderson for very late 1st round pick is going to solve the problem.
Unless they think that Andersson and Kadri are so good that they are keeping this team afloat, while somehow at the same time not being good enough to help the team win. IDK. The Flames pick will not be top ten unless wolf gets hurt, benched or traded.

I can understand the lack of moves the Flames have made today (thus far), but I certainly do think the better path would have been to sell some players. This has been a pretty good sellers market, and for rebuilding teams, draft picks are valued the least at the trade deadline and the draft picks are valued the highest at the draft.

Hanley is plan F or G. I'm sure he and Marimanov get moved, but not until late late late.

This is my concern with Calgary too; considering the arms race in the west, there's serious potential for someone to wax the floor with us in the playoffs if we just squeak in with the roster we currently have. Conroy will be under a microscope for the foreseeable future given what he needs to do with this team; I don't envy his position.

Whoever gets Boeser if traded is a massive add for me. He is the Canucks forward who scares me every time on the ice. Solid player.

Hey talking about this at all gets you flagged as "mentally ill" or "depressing" or "going off the deep end" so be careful!
But you're not alone in thinking this way. Team remains rudderless.

Prepared to hear after the trade deadline, "Flames were listening to offers on Anderson, however the value wasn't there and will be revisited in the summer"
"Flames hesitant to make any other moves to the group, want to reward everyone for getting to this point, want rookies to get experience"

He's saying there are awful teams with good goaltenders. Trading Wolf is not the only way this team becomes bad, as you are suggesting.
