Maybe I'm too business oriented, but the Flames seem to be the team that always sells at the dip and buys near the top. This year especially, we will feel it once draft time comes and Conroy is wondering why prices are so ridiculous to move from 28th overall to 9th overall.

Since we are battling Vancouver for last playoff spot has there been any news what they are doing?

Slam dunk is a little generous considering they're two mid 20s middle 6 players currently and historically.
It was good value and there is some upside.

Vancouver's been in on a number of trades, just don't have the pieces.
They were in on a trade with Ottawa for Norris.

2024 5th and 6th for a phillies 2024 4th ( whatever)
Kuzemnko and Pelletier, 2nd and 7th for Fabraee and Frost ( a solid trade)
It's not like we're doing nothing, we have two 1st rounder in the next two drafts and we retain control on any player who we might have traded and could easily move them in the summer or next deadline.
It is no panic team building, which is nice.

People literally need to be constantly reminded. I don't get it. There's rampant collective amnesia

That Frost Farabee package would probably cost us an extra B+ prospect or 2nd round pick if it was done today with the prices we're seeing so far

Willing to sell but offers have been lower then their ask on Boeser. That's all I got on the Nucks.

He didn't really have a choice last year and the Flames have no UFAs to move this year. The only one I can see wondering about is Andersson but Markstrom's value didn't really change from the deadline to the summer so I am not as worried

It feels like a road to mediocrity for many of us.
Our trajectory hasn't really shifted one way or another.
We're not going to bottom out any time soon it looks like.
We're not anywhere close to being a serious competitor.
It's battling for a wildcard for the foreseable future, which many of us are sick of.

You're confused, I was calling Pelletier and Kuzemenko and the 2025 2nd rounder spare parts.

The only way the Flames could bottom out is by trading wolf. Full stop. Andersson, Kadri hell Coronato and Zary aren't the ones doing the heavy lifting.
If you want to trade Wolf, you've lost the plot.

Best rookie goalie in the NHL, 20M in cap, 4 firsts the next 2 years, best D prospect.
Yeah zero chance they improve from the WC they are in now. This place sometimes

The unraveling in this thread is far more entertaining than any trade that could have happened
