Not sure, however acquiring Chychrun is definitely the type of player they require

Marek’s an idiot but I think Huberdeau fits that team to a tee. I can only hope they do something while they still can. Any large term deal they can get out of and get value back would be a win for me.

He will really help them. I hope he doesn't end up there.

Meh. He would probably get injured and miss the playoffs anyway.

Why isn't the NHL always this fun!
GMs complain about the cap preventing trades but really they are just too passive and afraid to do it.
Take some risk. Make some deals!

This is so much fun!
Also fun is watching the squirming happening on TSN and Sportsnet on deadline day when GM's get their business done early. Their time filler on on these low-movement deadline days are so cheeseball and awkward it's almost sad.

The trade deadline really extended from a day to a week like 6 or 7 years ago. I'm shocked they still put on the big show that they do.
It's really trade deadline week now, not trade deadline day.

It’s predictably silly each year but I know people at work who take the day off every year to watch that nonsense. They always give the impression something is imminent and it turns out to be 20 minutes of talking about James Smith traded from the fourth line and the intangibles he brings. I’m sure they get the ratings though as they make it a spectacle.
