I'm confused, you're not talking about the SW location, are you?
I would describe it the exact opposite.
Although they do have 100oz tubes of beer. They're more expensive (per ounce) for some reason, but your beer is in a tube!

Yep, a great place for downing a few brews after one of the many beer league hockey games that get scheduled out there.

Both Rips are kind of dive bars, but they have good service and a nice atmosphere so I frequent them.

Maybe if you moved out of your parents' house you could be closer to the pubs you like.

Old Ceili's rooftop.
Whip & Spankher.
Schooner's was my local dive, it's good for stopping in for a beer on a Sunday afternoon, and then getting totally tore up by accident.
Stopped in the new pub in Wentworth last time I was in town, they had good beers and decent food. Pub itself wasn't special, but ok.
None of the cookie-cutter faux-Irish pubs. Ceili's might have been included in that, except the rooftop and the tight shirts made it bearable.

An underrated place to go is the Big Rock brewery. Their hours aren't that of a normal bar but they brew great beer and if you go on a friday afternoon or weekend afternoon it's a great place.

FATS is pretty much the only pub I go to these days. Tons of t.v.'s, great service, amazing food and they have heineken on tap. One of the waitress is a really good friend too so I can't hep but get amazing service.
The only other place I go is Molly's in the summer for the roof top pation.

Is there still that Bugaboo Creek place across Crowchild? Can't say that I have ever been, and my completely uninformed impression is that it would be kind of lounge-ish and, obviously, like most hotel bars.

Bugaboo's was a complete hole! It has been turned into Uncle Eddie's and from what I hear, is still a hole.

I'll likely be at Gov's tomorrow for hockey, that place is great, usually a good turn out, good food, good beer.

My favourite pube is rockstar's.
Oh, pubs. Whoops. Does Melrose count? I don't really go to pubs anymore but I do like that. Woody's in Coventry because it's close. Flight Deck sucks.
