I have never watched the program, and am personally appalled at the concept of putting this sort of thing on TV. I don't mind me some "reality" TV from time to time, but this sort of thing doesn't do it for me.
Exploiting children for financial gain is ridiculous. It is no small surprise that Jon & Kate are having marital problems with their life literally under a microscope. I wonder how messed up these kids will be as they grow up. And don't use the argument that the parents are making money to make these kids lives better - they would be better off living with some social assistance and learning how to live in the real world.

Alot of people in here talk about marriage counciling like it is some great method of keeping a marriage together........yet marriage counciling as a whole has not even put a dent in the 50+% divorce rate....
love=passion+respect.................when one partner loses respect for the other, its over plain and simple. I dont watch Jon & Kate, but it sounds to me like Kate doesn't respect Jon because he has no balls, therefore their marriage is over.
I agree. When a couple agrees that their love for one another is cheap enough to be put on TV for millions of people, chances are that it's going to be over pretty soon.
I'm sorry, still seems as if they're in the press for the well, the press. Perhaps their hearts are in the right place. But it still seems like media posturing to get their 15 minutes.

How else do you get the message out when the parents won't listen?
In thier position i would probably do the same. And i don't call have grave concerns for the kids, media posturing for 15 minutes of fame.
Using the media to get your message out can be an effective way reach a lot of people. Maybe they hope the viewing audience will take thier message to heart and stop watching the show. Bad ratings are a good way to kill any show.
Here's my take. As much as I can't stand Kate, she's really been raising 9 children. Jon couldn't grow a pair when he was with Kate, so now he does, and he splits with his 21 year old girlfriend. Why not grow a pair and start 'ruling the roost' a bit yourself. He could have manned up, but instead he got a sports car, pierced his ears and got a college gfriend? and he has 8 kids????? I know everyone is on Jon's side, but in my opinion he's acting like an idiot.

Meanwhile Kate disappears for 20 days on a book tour to promote her new book leaving Jon to take care of the kids. Maybe Kate should set aside her goals of fame and fortune and focus on what's best for the kids.
Ohhh and Kate would never let Jon grow a pair. Anytime he opened his mouth she cut him down, insulted him and generaly belittled him. It's no wonder he doesn't want to spent anytime with that bitch.
Hummel might not make the cut: She's reportedly not Gosselin's girlfriend any more. That honour has allegedly fallen to the daughter of his ex-wife's plastic surgeon.
I have never watched this show and saw it popping up everywhere lately and still tried to avoid it because I don't care. Then I see this thread and tried to avoid it but it just kept hanging around on the main page so I had to read it hoping there was a fight going on, sadly there was not.
So anyways after reading it all the only thing that I can say that may help save this show and their marriage is this: A tie in with the Dr. Phil show! Can't you see it, it would be huge!!!

I don't totally get all the venom people are throwing at Kate. Jon is no angel himself. Lets pass judgment on him too. Seems like he's getting more a free ride because "Kate's a bitch". If our society is degraded to this point, lets so a bit of social progress and judge both bad parents equally. And no be Sarah Palin critical just on the woman.
