What a shame. Willys was great. Nothing saddens me more than seeing great little hole in the wall type places go under while nasty places like Rotton Ronnies continue to expand.

Brutal.
Looks like there might be one in Red Deer still.

I really like the smuggler's inn burgers.
Yet, Boogies is, hands down, the best joint in town.
Been to rocky's, been to tommy, been to peter's, been to angels, but it's still boogies. There buns are specially made, the patty's are nice and big but not too thick. All the options you are afforded make it a special joint. I love the yam fries, a good milk-shake from a real vintage milk shake maker and the fact they serve beer makes it even better.
Buchanans is a good bet, but for 20 bucks I would rather go to boogies and get two beers plus a mushroom burger.

Oh God ... why did I open this thread at 8am!?!?! I've been on a pretty strict diet - haven't had any type of fast food for over 4 months - but I'm going to ditch work early (noon sounds good), hop on the motorcycle and ride to Rocky's today.
Great time to break my healthy streak; less than a week before my playoffs begin. Thanks a lot guys! (Whatever, it's going to be soooo worth it.)

I had a peppercorn sirloin burger at Kelsey's at the airport the other night and it was unbelievably good.

I can't thank every poster, so I'll just thank the entire thread.
We need more threads like this in the Off Topic forum.
Can't eat burgers too often on account of my strict diabetic diet, but when I can this thread is quite a collection of options.

Despite living relatively close to Rocky's (and having the penchant for burgers that I do) I have never had a burger there. But, based on this thread, I intend to go there next week and finish a double.

Home-made burgers are the best.
Except when Aeneas turns the patties into hockey pucks.

I stopped in Great Falls, MT on my way back from Vegas and hit Fuddrucker's. Man, why did they shut that place down? Best burgers I have eaten by far. Damn, now I want a burger for lunch.

I live close to Boogies always had great burgers but since the new owners have taken over the place is always full. Great on them. You'll drive by the place a hundred times and not stop but once you stop you'll never drive by it again. The staff are great, you want something on your burger and they will put it on. One fried egg, why not two? Yam fries rock and you can have a beer or two well you wait. The wife still hasn't figured out why it takes them an hour to make yam fries when the flames games are on and I'll kill anyone that tells her.
Best Burger in town and great staff.

White Spot Burgers with "Triple-O" sauce:
http://www.whitespot.ca/?p2=/modules...c=1&t=2&cat=15
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Spot
White Spot is famous for its "Pirate Paks", a children's meal introduced in 1968. The meal is set in a cardboard model of a pirate ship with small details like a chocolate coin wrapped in gold foil, a cardboard sail on a drinking straw mast, and a cup of ice cream in the captain's quarters.

That's something I didn't know and quite interesting.

After all the burger talk today I just had to try Boogie's after work. It was spectacular as advertised. Not cheap though. In between fast food and Earl's pricewise.

Nothing disappoints me more than dropping ten bucks on a burger at some half assed place like Moxies and when they bring it out, it's just a giant patty on a bun with some ridiculously large piece of lettuce and a little slice of pickle. What? Too cheap to toss on a sliver of onion? Maybe a blob of ketchup? Never heard of cheese?
