I wouldn't get any Italian ANYHTING that's authentic Italian. It's like buying an Italian a cookbook......they would look at it and ask why you bought it for them, because their family's secret recipes are FAR superior to anything that is commercially available.

holy crap... I would buy her the sweater. THen when she bitches to your dad about it tell her that its the thought that counts, and if she doesnt like the damn sweater then next year all she is getting is a punch in the face.

In fact the more I think about it, I would get her something semi-nice, that you KNOW she is going to complain about. Then you have an excuse to make her look like a moron, AND an excuse to NOT get her anything next year.

I sell handbags and our most popular line right now is Mat & Nat. Canadian Company based out of Montreal, vegan company, so none of their purses contain leather (If you care about that kind of thing... being from Alberta I'll eat half the cow and wear the other half!)
Prices are $200-$275 but I don't know where you would buy them out east.
