41 kids for us in Cranston. But very, very young neighbourhood. The average age of the kids was about 5, and only two were out on their own without their parents. Naturally, they were the only ones who were still out after 7:00.

One family did a full on Dorothy and Oz get up. Very well done. My parents come over from Douglasdale because they just dont get kids there; they love seeing all the little kids here.

Two neighbors who wanted to be out on the street all night, came up to my daughter and gave her big bags of goodies. She didn't have to work hard at all.

Highlights: guy across the street that just got back from Afghanistan dressed as a fat ballerina. Then some kid left a 5' long (plastic) battlaxe on our steps. It's mine now.
Also 4 houses down the lady of the house was dressed as a ... I don't know, a french maid or something. Holy inappropriate for young kids to see her in that, but I wasn't complaining.
You bringing that to Pete's on Sunday? We can get the waitress to hate you more than 4x4 with a little help...

My count was 41, and that's just from when kids started coming around 6:30ish until we left the house at 7. I'm pretty sure it would have been over 100 again had we been at home the whole night.

Last year, I had to make a quick run to the grocery store to get some more candy, because I ran out too early.

See, this is what I love about Halloween, the dedication. If I ran out of candy, that I was giving away for free, I'd tell the little bastids to pound sand. Here, regular, well balanced individuals, make an extra effort, spend more money to get more candy to continue giving away for free.

Amazing.

And they call me crazy.

Had 23 over-all here in St. Albert. It's a pretty young neighbourhood too, lots of anklebiters runnin around everywhere. But we live in a cul-de-sac, and kids always seem to avoid em for some reason. Oh well, more Pringles for me.

We had 68 in Coventry Hills. First year here so we really had no idea what to expect. We live off the main drag with tons of young families. It was mostly little kids and really stead for about an hour. We took our daughter around our cul de sac and then around half of the loop. That was enough for her. Had to empty her bag twice.

A couple houses around here were really in the spirit. Lots had decorations but this one had a knife wielding maniac pop out from beside the house and scare the bejesus out of kids. His makeup was spot on and I guess last year he had a chain saw. We saw this one kid freak out and try to run away... directly into the garage.

Another guy had a big table thing setup with a bowl of candy in front of a pumpkin. Kids would go take some candy and he would pop out of the table with a pumpkin on his head.

I can't remember the weather ever being this nice when I went trick or treating. It was friggin' awesome outside.

I've resolved to step it up next year and take this thing a little more seriously.

we had about 40, not too bad. My two year old was very excited about trick or treating this year, we had a blast.

we had 76 in st. albert. its a newer area on a cul de sac and there are lots of kids in the area.

we were down from last year...when we ran out and i had to send the wife out for more!

we seemed to have a real flurry after 8:00 when our kids were already finished for the night...not just older kids but 10 year olds or so.
