Oh I know, it was done intentionally, I just didn't like it, that's all. I don't find the voice menacing, as a viewer, I find it distracting as I'm rolling my eyes when I hear it. Maybe when he's trying to intimidate, it's fine, but not when he's on a rooftop talking to Gordon and Dent, or at the end when he's explaining why Harvey should be the hero that Gotham needs. It just sounded silly, with his heavy breathing and deep voice.

But at the same time, he can't talk in his normal voice, as his normal voice is the voice of Bruce Wayne.

Batman rarely talks anyway, so it wasn't much of a bother to me.

Yeah, well Superman puts on glasses and no one recognizes him. Granted, Batman is the most realistic of the superheroes, but at the end of the day, it is a superhero movie with characters based on the comic, I can suspend reality for it.

and it wasn't a huge bother for me, like I have nothing bad to say about the movie, but it's just something I noticed.

Hey, if you were running around in a tight-fitting rubber suit, you'd be breathing heavy too!

I bet you he stinks like ass when gets out of the suit. And it probably takes the Jaws of Life to to do it.

Bale accused of assaulting his mom and sister.

I guess the Joker did push all his buttons.

Batman star Christian Bale was to be questioned by police over allegations he assaulted his mother and sister the night before the European premiere of his film, "The Dark Knight," British media reported Tuesday. His mother and sister reportedly complained that the 34-year-old actor assaulted them at a west London hotel on Sunday.

I think all the actors did an excellent job. Eric Roberts played his role just right, Oldman was good, Ledger was excellent, just great casting top to bottom. Many recognizable actors but I bought all of them in their roles.

And I just checked IMDB - I didn't even recognize Anthony Michael Hall! He's come a long way from Rusty Griswold.

I really liked the Joker, (surprise) Ledger's voice was perfect for it, and he was really creepy when he was licking his lips all the time...

I loved the movie. The only thing that I thought could have been better was that Two Face's burned eye should have been completely effed, and his speech would have definitely been impeded... but I can see how that would be annoying.

How awesome was it when Batman's motorbike pops out of the Batmobile!?

I went and saw it again last night. There are definitely things you pick up on the second time around

I wonder what the budget was for this movie it had to have been enormous they blew up that building, fliped that semi, closed a number of streets in Chicago (where it was filmed), And destroyed a number of other things along the way

Or when he rigs the truck to topple over then does a wheelie up against the wall and turns around in mid air......Huge ovation after that part.

That had me thinking alot also. With is eyelids burned off, his eye would be pretty dry and irritated. Must be addicted to Visine.

if you count foreign sales, it's all paided for, everything is all profit now. I'd imagine a huge spike when dvd/bluray comes out.

Heard a quote from Nolan that he just went to his stunt/demolition crew and just said "I want to flip a semi truck" They asked how and he replied "I don't know, you're the experts. Just flip a semi and make it cool".

I like that approach.

Not quite. The theatre keeps about half of the ticket revenue.

And that figure won't include promotional costs.

I did see this film. It was worth it. I'll see it again. Lots of face to face confrontations.

Don't start with the head, it makes the prisoner all woozy.

None were quite epic as the face to face in Heat.

However, they definitely were stranger.

I would definitely rate this higher than Ironman. Metals are still metals, and people still don't survive falls from great heights(The end of Harvey's party notwithstanding)

Props to Ledger for his portrayal of the Joker's calculated insanity.

I was in Hollywood in January, and met up with some friends in the business. It was well known in town that the movie was done (all the people working on it moved on to other projects, and i mean behind the scenes people) and primed to be the summer blockbuster of the year, if not all time.

What was weird was the next day the announcement came that Ledger was dead.

After watching the movie last night, i thought they had ample time to change the ending, let joker die from the fall, and let Two-Face live, but as it was mentioned before, saving Dent's character amongst the people and blaming batman was more important, and sets the table for the next movie.

we needs a new joker obviously...
