I meant hurt during the game but i may have misheard.
Ah. Not sure what I heard on the radio then either. Sounded like there was a d-man that was injured so Hamonic started, guessing he's the odd man out there.

I enjoyed watching that game - upset at going down 4-0 but happy to see them mount a comeback. Loved seeing Kadri barking at the ref post game - showing that he is a leader that hates to lose any game. Thats something that should be passed on to the young guys. This is what a rebuild looks like. Young guys getting a chance but not being put in when they havent shown they are ready. Wish Honzek hadnt got hurt cause this was a development year for him at the big league level
One year the Flames were up 5-0 on the Blackhawks and ended up losing somehow.
It was an early 5-0 lead, though. The Hawks basically had the whole game to claw back.
I had to look up that game. Calgary got 5 goals in 6 shots in a span of a little more than 5 minutes to take a 5-0 lead. The Hawks scored a gaol before the period ended, 3 more in the 2nd, another in the third and then an OT goal.

And lol Roberts scores 2 16 seconds apart in the late 3rd then I’m sure sees himself as the goat taking 14 minutes of penalties with 19 seconds left but nope !
That was the defending Stanley Cup and President's Trophy champions against the last place team from the previous season.
It was early in the season, but when it was all over, the Flames missed out on their third-straight President's Trophy by just 2 points, and Quebec was so bad that if they had doubled their points total, they still would have finished last overall.

Turn up the good, turn down the suck!
I remember listening to most of that game on the radio. I turned it off at 8-3, then turned it back on to hear the final score – and the game was still going and suddenly it was 8-6. After that last penalty was called, I turned it off again, figuring it was all over. I actually missed all five goals in that ridiculous comeback.
Clearly they were saving their best play until they knew I wasn't listening. You're welcome.
