A fair piece from our standpoint.

Buffalo would be crazy to trade Byram for Farabee. Good thing is they've proven to be crazy many times before.

I don't see the harm in giving up the Vegas 1st next year for a future piece like Byram. Especially if the Flames can get another 1st round pick from dealing Andersson.

Are the Flames actually going to do a deal with the Sabres? Flames always rumoured to be talking with them since Conroy has been the GM.

So, out = Byram, Ras

In = whatever VGK giving us + LA's return

We'd need to look for L sided D again, but I don't think I'd mind that (pending the pieces coming back obviously)
Gross. VGK and LAK have pretty much nothing to offer us. The "In" would be horrible.

People need to stop trying to connect the dots back to Vegas. Vegas cannot offer the pieces needed to make an extended Andersson trade and pretty much any other team that needs a #1RD can offer better pieces even if it is just for Andersson as a 1 year rental price.

If we can land Byram for Zary and still have Andersson to trade to another team for a C then that could work out.

I hope the only interest Conroy has is jacking up the price as high as he can for Vegas

They can go somewhere and I’ll tell em how to get there

I would like to see one of Buffalo's young centre assets included in the return to the Flames.

I doubt Andersson has a lot more value than Byram. If you think the Flames will get Byram and all they trade is Farabee, you are going to be disappointed. Flames acquired Farabee as a cap dump.

Andersson for Byram 1 for 1 is probably fair value.

That’s too much imo. This is a team that attached a 2nd to dump Cozen. No need to play nice.

His extension will be heavy. So it’s not like we are not taking risk.

Rather keep our picks and prospects if a center comes up.

Then keep Andersson. Sell at the deadline.

He is going to be also as afraid if he gets an injury and it costs him 2-3 mill and 2-3 years on his next contract.

No.

He's not part of the team going forward, get him out now.

I know Adams is a bad GM but he isn't totally brain dead. Byram is not a cap dump.

I’m optimistic about Parekh but playing defense at the NHL level is hard and being a good two way guy is even harder. I think he is going to be the cause of a lot of goals against and that is totally fine.

...an offersheet better not be coming from Calgary. Can't imagine it would be.

Vegas can't offersheet (no 1st in '26), Calgary shouldn't, LA makes sense to do it, could also St. Louis do it.
Flames are the ones that have the tools to be offer sheeting

Cmon Conman.

Pull something off. Can’t do nothing forever. Zero team are 100% built through the draft

He's not trading that pick. Vegas pick or nothing.

Just a couple things go wrong for the Flames next year, that's a decent chance at McKenna.

Hell would have to freeze over before the Vegas pick has any shot at McKenna.

Andersson has played more minutes for more years than Byram. Over the last 4 years, Andersson has been a 23-24 minute guy and Byram is a 21 minute guy.

Andersson was partnered with Bahl. Byram was partnered with Dahlin.

RD is more rare than LD.

Andersson is rumoured to be a great teammate and popular in the locker room and Byram has an attitude problem.

Byram is 4 years younger... but in every other way Andersson looks like a better asset.

Flames are not offer-sheeting Byram where it involves risking their own 1st round pick.

However, I am skeptical that this gets done unless Conroy shifts his stance which hasn't been the case for the last 3-4 months. Maybe it has now? Flames and Sabres have been talking Byram for a long, long time.
