By my count Vegas has only drafted two of the players they have dressed in this game. That's crazy.

Millen is 1000% better than Hrudey.

Do I? lmao, hardly.

This was a criticism of Kuzmenko not a support of Huska. Try just one time not to make it about the fake grudges in your head

The power of the asset base they got to build with their expansion draft.

They then used those assets aggressively (and foolishly in some cases), but most importantly they won the bidding wars for the two best trade candidates to come onto the market since they entered the league.

Winning the wars for Eichel and Stone on the trade front was franchise defining stuff.

I think when you look at those two trades, it's why Conroy should absolutely not spend/over-spend on players like Dylan Cozens. We don't need that tier of player.

Be patient, develop your players and maintain your asset base so that IF that franchise defining trade does pop up in the market, you can strike.

There wasn’t really a war for Stone. Calgary and Winnipeg bid. But there was only one place he was willing to extend with. And that was that.

Staj is such a beaut, man. I'm glad he's in the fold and he's 100% right about us needing to make winning faceoffs a focal point.

Yep, missed the 'so far'. Perhaps that put a hex on Samsonov and his shutout

Well thought out.

I think it also shows he advantage that certain American markets have over placed like Calgary. Players want to be there.

Almost looks like he can still play. Almost.

I’m old enough to remember Matt Stajan, whipping boy.

That entire possession was because the ref kicked the puck to the Vegas player when it was on its way to Coronato for an easy clear.

I'm old enough to remember Jarome Iginla being a whipping boy in the Calgary media, long before this site even existed.

Wait, I thought I read that Stanley Cup winners could only be built by hanging onto all of your draft picks and having lottery picks at least 4-5 years in a row.

League mandated/scheduled Flames loss = Samsonov shutout.

What is wrong with Sharangovic. He has zero impact on anything. Just terrible all around.
