The Flames went 2-0-1 since the last update, keeping the red snake's hopes alive for a 96 point finish. There are 2 games left to go and Calgary needs to win both of them to end with a 41-27-14 record and 96 points. They are 4-0-2 (137 point pace) in the last six games and 9-2-3 in the previous 14 games (123 point pace). This has allowed them to bring the red snake from 6.268 points below the black line after game #66 to only 1.659 points below it. This is the closest they have been since the conclusion of game #48.

Over the last 41 games the Flames finish tied for second in the West in points with St.Louis and Los Angeles and only Winnipeg had more. Flames go 12-2-2 in their final 16. Blues went 13-2-1 to get the same point total.
