Last week, the Oilers announced they were going to have a PlayAlberta ad on their home jerseys this season and a GameSense sticker on their helmets.

Based on the helmets the players were wearing today, I'd expect a similar announcement to come from the Flames soon.

Perhaps you should spend some time learning the difference between "anecdote," "speculation," and "evidence," because you clearly have no idea.

Again, your original claim was that players who have left Calgary have commented publicly about what a relief it is to no longer have to deal with Eric Francis. I don't doubt that there are players who are annoyed by and dislike Francis, but that is not what anyone is objecting to. We are objecting to you making exaggerated, false claims about things players have said in the media. Stop doing that.

I expect that a press release will do, and hopefully the Flames don't have the same need as the Oilers to build a promotional campaign around ot.

lol that's fair but we're also a bunch of old farts around here now and this stuff isn't as exciting as it used to be. We have careers, kids, etc etc, back pain. Training camp used to be exciting, could name every player and their numbers, now I struggle to pronounce the names. Conroy traded for so much depth D last spring I couldn't name two of them, I'd forgotten we signed Anothony Mantha until the Flames birthday post earlier this week.

If hatred is such a strong word is it really justified to categorize it as “hatred” when people are casually dunking on the guy and nobody is actually saying they hate him?

Is there any one having over the top emotional reactions about Francis? I think people like dunking on some of the more annoying media personalities. I really doubt (outside of rare exceptions, CP has some genuine crazies) that anyone actually hates these guys or is overly emotional about them, even if they come right out and say “I hate him.” Much like I doubt someone who says “I love Pospisil’s game” is experiencing actual love.

They’re mostly just words. No reason to be surprised or over analyze them 90% of the time.

I think it’s a matter of him wanting to spend his prime years trying to win. I also would really love to have him stay long term.
