There is a gap between "busting" and "good". A longish career as a backup.

Late to the party on this one but what a steal by Grier, honestly thought it would take more for Askarov. San Jose’s young core is scary good now and to think they will get a top 5 pick this year likely too to add to that core. Wowzers, they will be competitive pretty quick and scary for years!

The fact is, there way more successful goalies in the NHL that look like Askarov than look like Wolf.

So what? The fact is, most people who look like Askarov are not successful NHL goalies. Even most goalies who look like Askarov are not successful NHL goalies.

Performance at the AHL level is a considerably better predictor of a player's future success than height and weight.
