I would have no issue whatsoever giving either player a PTO.

For me the 25yr old Noah Gregor checks a lot of boxes for our bottom six and could prove to be valuable depth

I've been advocating for Noah Gregor since the start of free agency. He's not huge, but he's physical and plays well defensively. He put up 23 points in 63 games in 2021-22, and 17 points in 57 games last year, so he's not devoid of offense- and might put up better numbers on a good team.

Did Pysyk play in the NHL last year? Was he injured?

These PTO's seem early.
Didn't we sign Eakin and Milano after camp started?

I'm pretty sure they were signed 2-3 days before camp.

I hope we see a few PTOs. The Flames have 8 preseason games before the regular season starts and there is nothing to really be gained by having our own vets playing in most of them. Their roster spots are mostly locked in so they aren't going to be busting their butts off. Get some PTO guys who are desperate and will push the prospects hard.
A PTO would have to really blow the doors off to deserve a contract over a prospect, but it doesn't hurt to invite them. It gives another team an opportunity to follow the Flames camp and potentially sign them as well, which I think would build goodwill with some agents and the Flames if that were to happen.

Looks like he tore his achilles tendon, shortly after being signed by Detroit in July of 2022. He was given a timetable of 4-6 months recovery after having surgery. He ended up not playing in 2022-23.
He was once a pretty serviceable, two-way defenseman, but he's struggled the last few years prior to the injury.

Listening to Barn Burner today and they were saying they were surprised that Kessel hasn't caught on with a team yet. Apparently Kessel has said that he doesn't care about the iron man streak, and he'll play in and out of the line-up if required. He just wants to keep playing. They mentioned in passing that apparently Treliving tried to bring him to the Flames last season (I didn't know about that).
I got me wondering if there is still interest here with some of the management carrying over. I know it probably wouldn't be a popular opinion, but I would give him a PTO.

Think it was mentioned before we had interest in him, but of course Vegas came in.
Not sure if it was mutual.
