Just doesn't seem like a realistic total for this group this season.

Markstrom probably contributed to 6-8 lost points
6-8 points is way low...

Anyway just saying I don't see the Jets hitting 97 the way they are playing. That's not to say the Flames are gonna make it just they don't need 98 points IMO.

Last season is irrelevant

At this rate I’d be surprised if the Flames crack 90

We are on pace for 90 right now. That's not getting you in.

Poof. There goes hope.

The first two shots were far and away tougher than any of the first 20 that Georgiev faced

That’s the problem

So when should Markstrom stop a tough shot? Never?

I get it that he is getting beat by scoring chances (math actually shows he struggles most with medium danger chances vs high danger but whatevs for this chat). But he needs to bail his team out sometimes too. That's what good goalies do.

EDIT: I sound overly harsh...i know what you are saying. I just don't know when you are supposed to blame a goalie anymore. The guy flat out is terrible.

You know why we've seen it? Take a look at the list of Flames goaltenders post-Kipper. It's a graveyard. When the Hiller/Ramo tandem is the best you have had in a decade you know that goaltending has been really bad.
