Those opinions are the minority by far lol

You can see the gamebreaker type skill in him, it's like some people won't give him more than 10 games to get used to the big change!

his sidekicks in florida when he posted best-ever left wing numbers were Bennett and duclair

you mean to say we don't have better than Bennett and duclair?

Props to the people showing optimism after this loss. Guess I’m just on the other end of the spectrum. Team isn’t very good and I think this is what we’ll get for the rest of the season. Coaching has been an issue as well and this is coming from a big Sutter fan. Subtracting Gaudreau and Tkachuk has been a huge blow. Weegar is meh and of course we know the struggles with Huberdeau. What I thought was going to be a great Flames season has been anything but. Yes, there is time to turn this around but I’m in the camp that this isn’t a very good team.

Man we sure cried for power plays (myself included)
6 tonight and nothing to show for it, maybe 1 dangerous chance by Toffoli.

Lots of WHIFFS every game, same people too:

Mangiapane
Dube
Toffoli (he gets a bit of a break though)
Lindholm

If we didnt have Kadri this team would look and be so much worse its scary.

Call someone up, do something because playing the 4th line 15+ minutes a night isn't going to win the game.

Is Boston going 41-0 home?

Excuses Excuses continue. Bottom line we are not getting it done and this doesn't look like a blip but a trend. Play hard get a bunch of shots no one works hard to get inside to score ugly goals and rely on Brett Ritchie and Trevor Lewis to get us a goal.

With Markstrom awful goaltending and Sutters bizzare coaching this team is going to disappoint massively. Last year we escaped injury and had career years for a bunch of guys. This year is the opposite.

Just not a good cohesive team.

You know what Bennett and Duclair can do? Play with speed. You know what no one on this roster seems to be able to do? Play with speed.

This team has no transition game.

So why are you here if the season is over? They will make the playoffs

Despite BT's efforts to salvage this team, this roster makeup just isn't right.
Kadri is on a 47 goal pace (not that he'll score that many) Toffoli and Backlund on 34 goal pace. LIndholm on 27 pace. All this with Huberdeau not yet showing up. In saying that I agree we need more finish. Mangiapane is the biggest disappointment so far.

This team is BADLY missing Gaudreau and Tkachuk right now. So much for this team being better than last's on paper.

Same with Mangiapane goals. Guess he has finally come back down to earth.

The lack of another playmaker in the top 6 is prevalent since the top line isn't god mode. Finally get centre depth for the first time in ages, but now can't score enough goals. Figures.

Because I am a fan, not someone who makes excuses for every loss like you do. This team should go 82-0 based on your takes.

I actually think it’s time to make some pretty big changes.

Huberdeau - Kadri - Lindholm
Mangiapane - Backlund - Coleman

That’s our best shot at icing two good lines. Yeah, the 3rd and the 4th lines will be trash…but it’s better to have a bad 3 and a 4 than a bad 1, 3, and 4.

Lindholm at C without Johnny and Chucky just looks useless. This team just lacks high end skill.

Individually? Of course not. But his skillset fit opposite Huberdeau is glaringly obvious and has been since well before the season began.

Huberdeau - Kadri - Phillips gives us a first line. Phillips doesn't need to play to his weaknesses. Huberdeau - Bennett - Duclair was one of the best lines in the league last year, and this makeup has a lot of similarities.

Mangiapane - Backlund - Coleman reunites a second line that won the division. All three will be better from it.

Dube/Ruzicka - Lindholm - Toffoli gives us a line that certainly seems slotted way too low, and yet that is exactly what a Phillips callup could create.

And I think getting two of Lewis, Lucic, Ritchie and Rooney out of the lineup, makes this team much better as these four in particular just cannot play at a high enough level to be out there in the situations they are out there. Whether it's carrying the puck, avoiding penalties, or generally playing with speed, these four are weak links.

Yes--two minutes for skating behind a guy who lost his balance. Flames had been pressuring and that took away the momentum and basically sealed it for the Bruins.

They are generating chances and driving play, the goals will come if they play they way they did on this road trip.

Down to a .962 PDO, below Columbus now and only above St Louis.

Generally the lowest in the league is around .975, it will come up eventually. Just have no luck right now and no goalies are giving them any softies

I didn't like his 960 interview before the game either (mangiapane) sounded apathetic and just giving the usual lip service . now that he's won the lottery in life he's just bumming 5.8 mil off the Flames annually

last guy I expected to do that after watching his last 2 seasons . disappointed

Feels to me like the team has lost its identity. Not hard to play against. No forecheck. No threat on the PP or off the rush.

Goaltending and defence are mediocre.

I don’t understand the strategy right now. Just a boring, low event team.
