Interesting how low key the Flames 2023 has the potential to be. Vlader was the only piece left without a deal into next year.

Unless we trade for Patrick Kane I suppose.

Was a massive over statement...and being good in the AHL doesn't guarantee NHL success anyway.

He needs to prove he can do it again at least and hopefully be even better.

You also started this whole convo with Wolf to be traded now" which is also silly. Nothing wrong with a few years in the AHL

Something I've wondered about in the past: is there a point where a goalie gets too used to AHL quality shots and can no longer adjust fast enough to NHL shots?

Like it seems to me, if you come up from the A and blown out in a couple games, you're probably not going to get many more chances. It has to be pretty tough for a guy left down in the A for three seasons to suddenly come up and start making saves on McDavid/Crosby/Ovechkin/etc?

I was ecstatic when this trade went down, and it could be even bigger down the road. Vladar is capable of being a starter, with more time in the NHL. Bruins fans were super pissed when he was traded.

Are you implying there has to be at least one superstar goalie in the AHL? Figure out when to stop doubling down.

The last time we traded for a goalie nobody knows, turned out pretty good.
