Just watched the highlights of CAN-FIN.
Had a good laugh, Finns got so lucky Nice to hear they at least sort of earned their luck by playing well.

Yeah, he was the biggest reason we made it to overtime.

I blame the black jerseys - Canada should be red or white only

That was a terrible team Canada, too much soft skill, not enough heart. Canada put no pressure on Finland. Choosing Comtois for the penalty shot has to be.one of the worst choices Hunter could have made, Comtois is a good player but he is basically a grinder. Frost the team's leading scorer didn't even play in OT. Glass and Tippett are so soft on the puck and lack any kind hustle in their game. Bouchard is overrated.

Don Cherry said the Hockey Gods would bite Team Canada for that 14-0 pasting of Denmark and some of the antics after scoring. Guess the old geezer was right again!

Gold medal game cancelled. WReplay of one of Canada's wins from the 90s instead. No vignette or long form story to be told by one of the 16 on air personalities, aimed at making you wrap yourself up in the flag.

This is what happens when you make someone like Maxim Comtois your so called "leader". The team was doomed when he was named captain.

Not to mention the stupid celly against the Russians. Mocking Kuznetsovs "bird" celebration when Canada tied Russia was just in poor taste.

That first game against the Dane certainly done them in, but it has nothing to do with silly karma. That game let them think they are better than they actually are, and let them think they don't have to work for any win.

And lose the gold. Why do we have to dress so ######y?
The Montreal Canadiens don’t have rows of Stanley cups instead of stripes on their jerseys. It’s ridiculous.

Honestly this...
You can say the team was too small, no character, couldn't score, Hunter wasn't good in there...
But at the end of the day you don't slam a team 14-0. Not even in a game of pond hockey for God sakes.
Say what you will about Cherry but he's been around long enough to know the warning signs.
Completely different team next year!

Agreed!
When a country where most of the kids play Hockey (Canada) crushes another country where barely any kids plays hockey (Denmark), it’s embarrassing to be celebrating goals like you’ve just scored in a Stanley cup finals series.
And to run up the score 14-0, that’s pathetic.
Canada got whey it deserved. Those kids leaned an important lesson tonight.
Maybe some humility next time, lads!
