Yeah, that one made me laugh out loud. Pretty funny, even if it made no sense.

Yes, re-sign him now before he becomes too expensive.
Also, the Turek extension wasn't that bad. Sure he was a little overpaid but it's not like there were many other options out there unless you wanted McLellan to be the starter.

I really like how in the last two games, GG has had Bennett out there in the last minute protecting the lead. Great to see the coach having that kind of confidence in him.

About ten games ago Darren Haynes was telling everyone to keep sane as it takes about 16-20 games for a new coaches system to take hold. The team seems to finally grasping things. Well, that plus Johnson.
Thanks to Zamler for this...

It wasn't the contract itself. It was that he started playing like ass right after he re-signed. I know the chances of it happening again with Johnson are slim but it still makes me uneasy thinking about it.

First regulation win at TD garden since 2003!
First the blues and now the bruins. Nice to see some streaks finally being broken.

No rush. It will be a buyers' market for goaltenders come trade deadline/pre-expansion draft. Let it play out.

I love Bill Burr's take on Boston.
"It's like a racist San Francisco. It has that same quaintness, history, you can get on a sail boat, it's the perfect size, then someone throws in the N word."
"It's like the sucker punch capital of the world. You'll be in a bar, everyone's laughing, having a great time then past a certain hour, like, this anger sets in and you think 'we better get out of here because someone's going to catch one"

Great win by the boys. Johnson was outstanding again. Thought the top 4 dmen were solid. Gio seems to be coming around and Brodie was outstanding again. Hamilton moved the puck really well tonight. Besides the dumbass penalty Wideman was good too.
Nice to see Bennett play well. Hopefully he can get some confidence off this game. Seemed involved all game long and that pass wow. Backlund line just continues to play well. Thought Monahan was quiet but effective especially defensively. Offensively though he just doesn't seem to have any confidence right now. That chance in the 2nd should've been a typical Monahan shelf shot in the net. Instead makes a low percent pass that misses Brouwer. It'll come and hopefully soon.
2 more games on this road trip. Get at least one more win and it'll be pretty successful. Team is slowly going in the right direction. Hope they can continue.

One thing I've noticed the last few games is that the defence seem to have some restraints lifted off them. It seemed early in the year, they would be stuck on the blue line for almost the entire offensive time. Now they actively join in the rush, pinch, and use their speed to their advantage. Not to the level that we used to see under Hartley but they're contributing offensively more now.
Not sure if this is just the team understanding Gulutzan better or if Gulutzan is adapting his system...but whatever is going on is working and the team is looking better for it.
