So you think all the breakaways and sloppy coverage are bad habits from the Hartley regime?

This is just a lame excuse blaming Hartley. They are playing Gulutzan's system now, and its garbage. Has nothing to do with Hartley, he's gone get over it.
How long will it take for the team to get rid of all the "wrong" things Hartley coached, 5 games, 10 games, an entire season?

Contrary to popular belief not all owners enjoy paying players not to play for them and the Flames owners do not like their money wasted. There's a considerable difference in $$$ between buying out Raymond and buying out Wideman and I feel pretty confident that ownership would not sign off on buying out a $5 million player.

I don't think Elliott could be blamed for any of those goals. He had a number of stops early in the 1st which could have blown the game wide open.
First goal breakaway by McDougie, 2nd goal maybe he should of had with the PP goal crease scramble, 3rd goal SH breakaway, 4th was a tap in by Draistl.
I'm not sure what he could've done on those...
Oh. Our D sucks...

I kinda thought this might happen when the Flames decided yet again to mix and match during the final preseason games. Yes, I know you can't blame it all on that, but last game and tonight are still preseason games basically. This team needs to learn how to play together. They look out of sorts.
Really not expecting much tomorrow. Hope Johnson can have a good game. This team needs a few games to get going, unfortunately that's a lot of wasted points.
Lucic got some points but I thought he looked kinda terrible. Russell played well. McDavid is one of the better players in the league already. Just has to stop with the diving.

Yep. We went pointless for 9 in a row the playoff year. We are far from that stage. The team and the fans need to just brush it under the rug. Start new tomorrow..

I can describe Gulutzan's system in one word: "Oilersesque". He seems to think that if we just try to score, defence will take care of itself. For two games now, we have been every bit the defensive trainwreck Edmonton has been for a decade.

Hiller and Ramo sitting at home laughing about how all the blame was put on the goaltenders. Maybe the defense had something to do with it.

Jesus christ... this team is learning a new system, I don't understand how people can jump so quickly to conclusions. Even if we had Bob Hartley as our coach we probably would have lost both of these games. This is on the players, some guys need to step it up and not get off to such piss poor starts to the season.

Or maybe it's two games into a season. Just a thought.
If he had two shutouts, I'm sure there would be claims of how amazing he is and those would be unfair, just like your assertion here is now.

Awww man...we're already into half-assedly having to defend Elliott's performances as "...it's not his fault we lost".
I get it.
...but come on, how good would it be to get a good goaltending performance?
Our D is an absolute mess. Our breakout is awful.
Our most talented players (Brodie, Gaudreau) are visibly frustrated.
