If that was the end for these core Argentinian players internationally, I'm gonna miss them. As frustrating as Canada losing to them last summer was, the fun basketball fans have had watching these guys over the years is hard to describe. The guys on the Argentinian team have done more to grow the game globally than they'll probably ever realize.

IIRC they had a good lead in that game but wilted under pressure. I think it was their youth and inexperience that caught up to them. Same could be said for the woman's team.

Wow... I think I've tried blocking that tournament out of my head so much that I totally forgot that we lost to them. That was so bad. I remember reading on Twitter about the Venezualan media going wild celebrating in the press box that they had won.

I think I got it mixed up because I just remember that Luis Scola turned into Tim Duncan for that tournament and was absolutely dominant

Speaking of famously awful hair finally disappearing these Olympics, hilarious that Scott Oake has been rocking the CBC hat steady these entire Olympics. Did he finally realize how hilarious his combove is? My gf doesn't even follow sports and she just knows him as "Combover".

The CBC Rio app I am using is saying Warner is in third behind a German named Kazmirek.
