Pretty disappointed with the Mass Effect trailer. I get that they could be trying to keep info to a minimum to have a greater impact closer to launch, but it's worrisome to me that they've revealed so little so far.
Still lots to take in from that short trailer though...namely, they're going straight for brand recognition by making another Normandy SR2/3 looking ship, and another Citadel looking station (neither appear to be the same, so I suppose they didn't just turn the Citadel on and drive out). I guess there was no time for advancements before leaving the Milky Way and going to Andromeda?
Being kept in the dark a bit has really amped up my excitement. It's like the old days (but yes, hopefully it doesn't end up being a let down in the end).
I wonder how they reached Andromeda in the first place. Interstellar travel in the original trilogy was enabled by mass relays, which were all seemingly destroyed. Intergalactic travel would pose an even larger hurdle.
Does anyone either have a schedule of the line-up for e3 this year, or at least know when Take Two is doing their presentation? Apparently this is a very difficult question for Google to answer..

I really want a Reaper as a companion that you can totally sex up.
Captain bleah blech - "Hey Harbinger 2"
Harbinger 2 - "Human!!"
Captain - "I just wanted to go through some of the mission specs"
Har - "There is no need for your worthless verbal communications human, I know all and am linked into the network"
Captain - "You seem down, is there something you want to talk about"
Har - "You can not comprehend our emotions"
Captain - "Well maybe I can buy you a drink and we can talk about it"
Har - "That would be acceptable"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the extended cut, weren't the mass relays eventually repaired? Some of the thoughts originally for the ending of ME3 was the destruction of the relays would severely inhibit any further advancement for generations, or even regressive changes from the current state of the Galaxy.
Either way, once you're outside the Milky Way it's still a very long journey at FTL speeds, if they could maintain FTL the whole way. I assume Element Zero could be used to get there but who knows. It would account for the time difference between the original trilogy and Andromeda, at least. You need time to set up a trip to Andromeda, then make the actual trip there.
TBH no new game from the XBox presentation really caught my attention.
No surprises or new game announcements.
For the most part anything we saw in that press conference we knew was coming already or it is a sequel that is going to come anyways even if it wasn't announced yet.
