ASUS 15.6" Laptop - Black (Intel Core i5-5200U / 1TB HDD / 8GB RAM / Windows 10)
$599.99 AFTER SAVINGS
SAVE $150

DESCRIPTION
Great for everyday computing, this 15.6" ASUS X555LA laptop is loaded with features to ease your work and play. It comes with a powerful 2.2GHz Intel Core i5-5200U processor, 1TB hard drive memory, 8GB of RAM, and SonicMaster technology-enhanced audio. It also has user-centric features like Smart Gesture and IceCool technologies.
My current HP survived 6 years of neglect and torture but I've heard similar HP hate before.... hmm....

Also anyone ever have any luck trying to go early with the flyer and getting the black friday price then? I'm thinking of trying to pull some sort of "I'm leaving to an internet-less camp" story cause I'm impatient.

I really enjoy Vega products. Until November 29th they have 25% off all products, plus free shipping.

If you don't have a Vega account, use this link to sign up: https://myvega.com/shop/rewardsref/i...efer/id/40653/

Once you make your first purchase, we both get $15.

Was $500 earlier this year I thought. Might not be a sale but just reduced regular price. Amazon has the bundles on as a deal.

You will need a torch head:

but you can get one from home depot as well.

Love my searz all.
Nice! Thanks for the info! I've seen these before on cooking shows and online... I just got a smaller kitchen torch recently (kind of like a creme brulee torch) and have yet to use it, its not as nice as the searzall but I'll wait to see how it works first, but I love cooking a lot so the searzall may be worth the investment!

After $50 trade in. So it's $80 without. And it's only for the 16GB phone.

I have the same experience. I also like Dell's laptops. I was reticent when I purchased the one I'm currently using but it has been the best one I have owned.

HP is the EA or Chevrolet of the computer world... yet somehow droves of people continue to buy such shoddy, overpriced products

I wish Windows would just do both hardware and software for laptops like they did with the Surface tablets.

HP is built by sub-contractors who had to bid for the contract. Therefore, many HP's are built as cheap and the sub-contractor can make.

http://lifehacker.com/computer-manuf...tha-1467145338

IMO with equal dollars

1. Assus
2. MSI
3. Toshiba

A Pentium i5 or i7 and not an i3

Memory is upgradable, but 8 is a good start.

HDD or SSD - SSD is always a good option, but you can get one separate. I have a 180GB for $50.00 if you want it. It's an Intel series.

Second HDD space - Storage is good, but not necessary. I need it as I have huge files that I work with.

Graphics Card:

With a Intel you want a GTX 950 or greater. Using Intel with GTX uses cuda cores within the Graphics card and Nvidia pays developers to use them specifically. However, if you go AMD then use ATI graphics cards as they have their stream processors. In reality they are the same thing only different architecture and ATI uses openGL or openCL... One of those.

I'm sure others will chime in, and these are just the things I look for.
