If we do tank this season I hope that Johnny can rack up at least. Just so we can say that they regression folk who were predicting him to suck will be wrong about something.

And a cold Smid is in over promoted Nakladal

a struggling Hiller is in over a motivated Ortio

Oh yeah Harts, that ought to do the trick...

Let's hope they pull a rabbit out of a hat tonight, cause that's pretty much what they're going to have to do.

Look at the bright side!

A seasoned vet is in over someone without NHL experience
A goalie experienced in playing through highs and lows is in over a rookie who might not handle the pressure
And Hamilton is off the top pairing.

Is Hiller seriously starting tonight and not Ortio? I wasn't gonna watch unless they started Ortio, but I might watch just for the lulz. I bet Hiller isn't in net at the end of the game

The weirdest thing to me is when a player plays hockey left and plays golf right. I know several guys where this is the case. Makes absolutely no sense to me.
Thats me! Left handed hockey, right handed batter, right handed golfer, left handed catcher, right handed writer.

Treliving has wisely stated in his last presser that throwing Ortio into the middle of a team performing badly is unfair to him. Hiller has expressed that the can up his game and it's up to him to shoulder that load until the team fixes its other problems.

Was just talking about someone about this the other day, but as it was explained to me:
- Dominant hand on top - Mainly defenceman as you want to use your strong hand if you are defending with 1 hand on the stick or poke away a puck
- Dominant hand on the bottom - stick handling is more optimum as your dominant hand is moving the stick

Never understood how power is generated with the dominant hand on top, since it's the bottom hand that acts as the fulcrum to flex the stick and release the energy to shoot a puck

Back on topic, please just win tonight
Interesting. I am left handed but my right arm has more power. For example I eat with my left hand, type on my phone mostly with my left hand and write left handed. But I throw a baseball with my right, punch more powerfully with my right and shoot right in hockey.

From what I understand most people in the states shoot right? I think it has to be some kind of sports phenomenon haha

Let's close the discussions of LH vs RH and conclude that if you shoot LH, you are a better player than someone who shoots RH.

BTW, I'm a LH shooter

really happy for Smid, I honestly thought we'd never see him play another NHL game after that ####ing Despres hit. Good for him.

Less than an hour until game time.

Let's go Blue Jays!

If both the Jays and Flames lose I will be very, very drunk tonight.

Heck, if they both win I'll be very, very drunk.

I guess what I'm saying is I'll be drunk tonight.

It all starts with this scotch. Cheers!

At this point I just want to see a solid effort and 2 freakin' points at the end of the night. I don't think that's too much to ask.
