Not gonna lie there was 2 very distinctive puck streaks across the chest/stomach area of the Bouma jersey which basically forced me to buy it. Gotta love Lance.

The game worn Gaudreaus were sold in February. I bought the Away Set 1 which is the jersey he wore while scoring his 1st PP goal, 1st GW goal and 1st hat trick (LA game). I wanted Bennett's jersey too but i was too far down the list. I bought Monahan's retro/FAF jersey last year. All ones I talked about were $1,000 each.

I felt that if I did decide to sell, the Cervenka would have the biggest demand in the after market.
My buyers remorse was because it was no deal, I could of bought the jersey 4 months earlier for the same price.
He is still a stud in Europe, and someone would pay for a game worn Cervenka, kind of like if I had a shot at a game worn moscow dynamo Giordano, I'd jump all over it.

I went down at 8 and was able to grab a work-out shirt and a Backlund stick in really good shape so I left happy!
Side note, it kind of rubs me the wrong way seeing some adults in that place walking around with laundry baskets full of gloves and other equipment. I mean, I guess they have the right to do that if they wait out in line all night, but it still seems somewhat wrong with all the kids there looking for stuff and what not

To be fair though, how many kids are going to be able to fit into adult sized equipment. Sticks they seemed to have a ton left when I popped by at 10.
I personally don't see anything wrong with people who line up over night for the premium equipment and buy basket fulls of it. If a kid really wanted a specific piece I'm sure their parents could do the same.

Agreed on the basket full of stuff comment. I don't bother going down, because I can't line up for overnight and it seems like showing up the next day means the merchandise is already picked over. I guess it doesn't matter in the long run, but do the Flames put any limits on what one can buy? I am guessing that many of the buyers are actually internet resellers. Again, probably no rules against that, but if they really want just interested fans, there might be a better way to get rid of this stuff.

Although you might think this, it certainly is not the case. I can't say all the people who camp over night are not internet sellers since I don't really know. However, generally the front of the line consists of the same people every year who are just hardcore collectors and don't buy the sought after items for resale. The staff at the sale know these guys are legit and is probably why they have never changed things since they know the stuff is going to people who appreciate it.
Hockey Equipment is also quite bulky so what looks like a ton is probably not as much as you think.

Yeah I see your point, but does a guy really need to be buying 6-7 pairs of gloves? Just seems greedy to me I suppose

If someone wants to lineup for hours, I suppose they're entitled to buy whatever they like.
I showed up just before 9 and it was very picked over... but found it was a good strategy to lurk and wait for some items to return to the shelves when someone decided they actually didn't want it. Came away with a few good items and imagine I would have done better if I waited even longer.

Anaheim has limited purchases to 5 items in the past. Not sure if that is still the case.

I have been honored to be a part of the group at the front of the line for the last 2 years. They have been first in line for the last 6 yrs or so. I can attest that not one of the 4 people in front of me are re-sellers. I heard a lot of hate and rude remarks directed to these guys about re-selling or being jerks for taking everything. They are great guys who love to collect equipment. There is no harm in it.
On the young kids remark, this year I witnessed one of these guys buying a random kid a stick he wanted because he saw the kid was really upset that he couldn't afford a certain stick he wanted.
Personally I only buy what I will use ( although I wanted those Gaudreau's so I could get them signed and display them. I have to cheer on my American bro ya know).

A lot of the time they just grab things they might want then once they have it all they choose the 2-3 they really want and put the rest back. As witnessed by the next poster heh heh.
