At least we know the NHL lottery isn't rigged.

On the bright side
- entertaining talent to watch in the BOA
- it will be sweeter when Flames beat the Oilers and when they don't make the playoffs.
- maybe McDavid will pull a Lindros and then the trade haul will provide the above

Live my butt Katz and Bettman worked this out long before this.
Preprinted cards what a rigged result if ever there was won.
"ok you have the gold printed Oiler one in there right, yes its right here ok tell Baily to act surprised got it"
The NHL didn't even have the "balls" to do this live real time with the bingo lottery machine while all the cameras see every draw pulled in real time.
You all just witnessed a scam by the NHL.

An argument could be made that the Oilers cannot develop prospects besides 1st overall picks into good NHLers.

This is an absolute disaster for the Flames - gonna hurt for a long time.
McDavid in Edmonton for the next decade... everyone talks about how 1st overall picks don't guarantee success but this is the best player to come into the league since Crosby.

I still think they ruin him to some degree, probably won't end up the player he has the potential to be.

Well even Crosby and Malkin were only able to win one cup....if that provides any solace.

Somewhere in Edmonton, Kevin Lowe is probably bragging about all his rings and how he know's how to build a cup winner.

Not sure how this works, but...
Can he sign for just one year as his entry level contract, and then bail town?
