If the 2015 Flames have a peak form Kipper, I suggest they are overall better than almost every Flames team since the stacked ones in the late 80s-early 90s. Way better than the 04 team.

I would advise you to chill. You'll feel better.
Although I agree we shouldn't pile on a new guy, the new guy could easily have noticed QOTD is Bingo's thing.

Since this is Bingo's site, and Bingo was the one who started the QOTD thing here, I say it's only basic courtesy to let him decide which questions get that tag and which ones don't.
On the other hand, I believe Bingo has the power to edit the title of this thread and remove the ‘QOTD’ part if he objects to it. So if he's cool with it, I have no reason to object.

Alas, CP was ever thus. Way back in the dark ages (before 2004), I stayed on the old Usenet Flames group for a year or two longer than I would have liked.
There was a small group of CP users who did a drive-by trolling of the Usenet group, insulting everybody there for not having gone to CP where all the cool kids were. That gave me such a bad impression of CP that I refused to join until after the lockout year. And when I had the temerity to start posting, I nearly got razzed off the site – mostly by jerks who have since been permabanned.

I find it odd that everyone just assumes that a new member who joined in Feb 2015 would know who Bingo is. Why would they?
I would assume that the OP just thought Bingo was just another regular member posting a QOTD ... just saying.

Ah, that explains it.
However, it seems like Bingo doesn't object to what you did, or he would have said something by now. So no biggie. Likely, in the future, if you suggest a QOTD topic to him privately, he may like the idea and choose to run with it that day. Meanwhile, you can title your threads with ‘Poll:’ instead of ‘QOTD:’, which will probably make people feel better about it.

I'd like to hear what Bingo has to say about all this fluff.
As a regular user, I know that the QOTD is done by him. But for new users, they have no idea. It's not in the sign-up info. And frankly I find it very sad that people have jumped all over the new guy.
No wonder the majority of new and existing users are afraid to make new threads. You guys gang up and make people feel very unwelcome.
