Good on Trevling. Always worried a new GM will come in and go crazy to make his mark. Showing restraint.

Gotta give UFA's more money to get less term. Still a good signing

Life on an NHL goalie. Rämö will just have to outplay Hiller.

Been a very good day so far, no tears lost for losing Cammi.

Money is fine as its off the books in 2 years. Gone are the 5 year deals that handcuff us in the future. He has potential to get back to being an elite goalie in this league!
Side note- best mask in the league!

Sounds like a great deal, gives Hiller a nice chance to prove himself. I am also glad Ramo won't get too comfortable in net as a #1. It also just makes sense for the Flames. The only one who might be a bit upset is Ortio, because that will significantly decrease his chance to play for the Flames within the next 2 season.

Still, Rämö had the same numbers behind a much worse team.

Happy with this, I think he'll end up being the backup by season's end, but is a capable backup.
Great term.

Good term. Pushes Ramo and gives time for Ortio to develop. Sensible signing.

Hiller hasn't been very good ever since his vertigo problems, so he's probably in the same ballpark as Ramo. At least with this, we get closer to the floor while not vastly improving the team. Hedging is probably the best thing we can do. If we can get one of McDavid or Eichel next year, that is vastly more important than getting a good UFA this year.

Promising 1A/1B tandem in a perfect world. Either guy has shown the ability to make themselves a reasonable starter.
Fingers crossed for another matte black mask. Tight tight tight.

Love it. Pushes Ramo in year 2, solid insurance if he falters.

Great signing.
Hopefully he would be 1a with Ramo as 1b or even straight back-up but they should have every opportunity to figure that out with training camp, pre-season and even the whole regular season if need be.

Happy with this. While we could have gone for a less goalie and ran with Ramo, why not have two potential starters fighting it out for a job? With this kind of term, there's no issue with adding established NHLers to our team.

Sweet. Could be a good trade asset in a couple of years too.
