I think fans are really going to like Klimchuk. He is so versatile and has such fantastic tools. He doesn't look out of place in the slightest when you throw him with high-end linemates, and he is always skating hard and being good just like he said about Bennett - with or without the puck. Great skill and great attitude.

Last year, there was only a couple announced prior if I recall correctly, and then a bunch came anyway.

is the 4th going to be anything other than testing? Just don't want to head over for nothing.

There is no icetime booked for the 4th. Likely just physical testing at the Saddledome.

Bill Arnold @BillDaHurricane 12m
Excited to be headed back to Calgary for @NHLFlames Development Camp #CofRed
So it looks like Bill Arnold will be there so I'm guessing that means that there is a good chance that Gaudreau will be present as well

Bill's already been three times, right? That means he's going by choice.
Gaudreau may just do the same.

Only way I can't see Gaudreau coming up for development camp is if he has some finals he has to take as he's doing summer courses

For the Prospects tournament in Penticton in September, the cutoff is 25 NHL games.

the college kids don't play in Penticton, correct? At least I think they didn't go there in the past. But still:
Gaudreau --- Bennett --- Poirier
Granlund --- Reinhart --- Smith
Klimchuk --- Arnold --- Ferland
Sieloff --- Kanzig
Kulak --- Culkin
Roy --- Rafikov/Mattsson
McDonald
With a couple invites/lower prospects to fill out the roster. Simply love the prospect depth of this team, it's really refreshing to see so much talent after many years of having one of the worst prospect pools in the league!

edit:
1. class has started
2. NCAA rules say you can't play in scrimmages/exhibition games against other teams at camps... inter-squad scrimmages are okay

That - they are not allowed to be anywhere else once school started, and they can never play in a game as a representative for a 'professional' team at any time. This not only includes the NHL, but the WHL as well.
Doing so strips them of so called amateur status and they are no longer NCAA eligible.
NCAA eligibility rules are complicated and confusing, and more than a bit hypocritical given US schools make millions and billions off college sports

Right, I suppose school starting is a pretty good reason. But doesn't school start for everyone else too? Or do kids from other leagues start later...? I know the NCAA rules are much more strict and complicated, but whys that?

The NCAA believes they are protecting their student athletes from being exploited by corrupting outside influences. Of course, there's probably no organization in the US that exploits young athletes more than the NCAA.
The kids who play in the CHL will participate in the Prospects tournament and at least part of training camp, even if it means missing the start of the CHL seasons. The CHL and NHL have a much more friendly relationship than either have with the NCAA.
Any junior player who is eligible for the NHL Draft is over 18, and likely done with high school, and I don't know if any attend post-secondary until after their CHL days are done, so they're not likely to be missing any school while attending the NHL camp and playing in the preseason.

Also:
Agostino - Knight - Hanowski
Van Brabant - Wolf
Ortio could go as well, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he doesn't
(and Hayes too!)
They annihilated the Oilers last year - this wouldn't even be fair
