Benn doesn't look very good this game.
Crosby having a lot of trouble finding linemates. Seems to make everyone with him worse so far.

Canada should start wearing white more often. That's their nicest jersey (always has been, especially in 2002 and 2010). The reds are a bit cliche, and the black ones are horrible.
Not sure whether the teams choose jerseys or the IIHF does in these games.

"Hopeful" is truly about the best you can say about them. With M. Koivu, Filppula and Barkov we'd still be a clear underdog to Sweden, US, Canada and Russia. Without them...
Well, theoretically, all it takes is for our goalies to steal the right two games. But that's the same kind of hope that Switzerland has, and they've had better defense so far.

They don't measure possession percentage but Canada probably has 75% or more right now. They're playing a super economical game cycling it patiently but the Finns are keeping them to the outside and waiting for a counter chance.
All it takes is one bounce and its tied.

Yes, to be clear, I meant the red ones. The black ones are not at all good. WTF were they thinking?

Pretty sure Russian fans know who Canadian hockey players are Healy.

Carter is a wonderful skater but he does have a bit of tunnel vision.

Anyone else thinks that Rask is the best goalie in the world today?

"Canada taking advantage of a defense...that isn't as good as theirs."
Quality contribution from Canada's least favourite backup goalie.

This is a pretty dominant performance so far, but the scoreline doesn't reflect it.
