What's the over/under of how many times Rob Kerr works this factoid into the broadcast? How many of those instances will be during play?

Maybe Backlund is banged up?

He missed some practice time because of 'bumps and bruises' and maybe the coaching staff feel that he could play but isn't at 100% yet and they have some guys right now who are and need some minutes (stajan and colborne).

Iginla in the last few years has made a lot of people forget that - namely when Keenan took over. (I still say that Darryl's worst mistake was his inability to find a decent coach - but that is another argument I would think).
I think people forget how dominant iginla was in his prime... All over the ice. We're talking about when he was in the conversation as the best player in the world (from 2002 to 2007. I remember the announcers and analysts during the Detroit series in 2004 talking about how Detroit was unable to contain him and how he seemed unstoppable all over the ice even against lidstrom in his prime.

Watching the warm up right now. These Jerseys look HORRIBAD. Like they seriously look like the NHL dropped RBK and awarded the contract to K-Mart. I never thought I would miss the shot horse.

Those jerseys look alright with full equipment. Love the numbers/name font, the shoulder patch is sick and the color scheme is stellar. I predict an undefeated streak when wearing these bad boys.

The jerseys actually look ok in person up close, but from the stands I'm just seeing the Devils as the white and yellow are hard to differentiate from far away.

I think the further he gets from his prime, the more some exaggerate his legacy as a player.

2005-2006 Iginla was a dependable, hard working two-way player.

By 2007-2008, he was of a liability defensively.

And we now have Zamboni brand Zamboni's. I definitely prefer the old Olympia's.

The Fames will have 5 team high fives and the wings zero team high fives.

98 points in 07-08 is pretty impressive even with the lack of D

Ugh, Frazen back in tonight. I hate that guy.

Think the Flames have a good shot a a nice win here. They must play their game though and not fall into the Wings game plan. Be fast and aggressive and the Flames should do fine.

One of the zambonis broke and there's a huge pool of water behind the Detroit net. There was a lot at the blueline but they noticed that one.
