By the time third round starts the Flames should have 4-5 players drafted.

I was just fishing around looking at who might want Stemper. The Blue Jackets are 1 point out of the playoffs and they have 3 1st rounders this year.

No prediction, but I think the Flames should focus on teams that are likely over-estimating their own position... Islanders, Predators, Hurricanes, Blue Jackets, Coyotes... It would be great to get a 1st from one of these teams

Tough to do that. The only player that might get a 1st and does not have a clause is Stempniak. Not sure how many guys would waive for those teams. Granted the Hurricanes would be intriguing.

Flames better deal Stepmniak, with Ignla there are extenuating circumstances that may make that deal difficult but with Stepmniak there is nothing other than management being stuck in a win now mentality.
So many logical reasons to trade Stempniak right now:
1) his value will never be higher;
2) he's notoriously streaky, he could suck next year;
3) Flames have depth on the wings and all the others can't really be moved.
This is the easiest trade for Feaster to make. Much easier than Iginla.

Because he jumps around from thread to thread posting this garbage and ignores every post that points out how wrong it is.
Hopefully he will eventfully run out of threads because it is doubtful he will ever address it.

Did you guys hear about how old and slow Iginla is? There are rumblings that he's not suited the style of game the Penguins play.

Feaster, unable to get the return he needs to please ownership in an Iginla deal, goes back to plan Z of retooling on the fly.
To Calgary: Dave Bolland, 2014 3rd round pick
To Chicago: Mike Cammalleri, rights to Laurent Brossoit
Chicago gets the goalie prospect which they lack and another veteran offensive winger/center to bolster their offence. Calgary gets the versatile Bolland which addresses the lack of decent players at the center position.
To Columbus: Lee Stempniak, Akim Aliu
To Calgary: LA’s 2013 1st round pick, rights to D prospect Mike Reilly
Colombus, in a tight race for the 8th spot in the West, sacrifices one of their 3 1st round picks for Calgary's most consistent forward in 2013 & a big winger for the farm. In addition to the late 1st rounder, the Flames pick up Reilly, an NCAA puck-moving defender at U of Minnesota.
To Detroit: Jay Bouwmeester, Leland Irving, Roman Cervenka
To Calgary: Martin Frk, Calle Jarnkrok, Brendan Smith, Valterri Filppula, 2013 2nd round pick
Detroit gets their man plus a goalie prospect & the Flames get a healthy package of prospects & a pick for Bouwmeester. Irving & Cervenka get fresh starts & Filppula gets reunited with Hudler, at least for rest of the season as he's UFA.
So we finish off the remainder of the season with the following line up:
Tanguay Bolland Iginla
Filppula Backlund Hudler
Glenncross Stajan Comeau
McGrattan Begin Jackman
Gio Wideman
Brodie Sarich
Butler Smith
Kipp
Mac
Finish 9th in the West & everyone's head explodes in frustration.
Book it!

Not sure why anyone's head would explode if we pulled off 3 rip off deals like that.
I want a rebuild but if you are getting insane trades like that on your favor you don't say no.

Correct, hence why Columbus would be the team dealing it.

I would buy Feaster a Zorro costume if he pulled that off. That trade is very very Flames tilted.

Hard to Winnipeg giving up Schiefle or NJD giving up Larsson.
Teams aren't likely to give up under 22 former top picks for anything other than guys in prime with good contracts.
