With how confidently they are trading down you wonder if it's someone like Gunler or Mysak who are fringe 1st rounders/reaches
Can't be Perreault or Zary or they would have already stepped up probably

If I were to guess the way the business world works, no team doctor wanted to put their reputation on the line and say his injury is a workable problem. If he joins and it doesn’t work out the doc would lose their job. Too much pressure. Washington just threw it out the window and went for it.

Philly picks a sniper in Foerster, but I don't even think he was the best sniper available... I like Perreault a lot more.

Disappointed that the Flames didn't draft Lapierre when they had the chance. But, considering its clear that they had no intention of drafting him, I'm glad they obtained two third round picks.
And the suspense of finding out who they finally draft is killing me...

STILL the same guys the Flames wanted at their pick. PLUS we get two new 3rd round picks.
Amazing draft by Treliving without making a pick yet.

Exactly.
Means the Flames weren’t in love with one guy but had a group they liked.
Somebody posted that Conroy mentioned they had 8 guys they like at 19...means really they could trade as far back as 27 if they really wanted, and that’s assuming the guys they like get taken between 19 and 27

Agreed
He may be fine and never have another concussion in his career, but if it ends up being an issue it can de-rail a career
Concussion issues before a guy plays a single NHL game is a big risk and I'm glad the Flames aren't the team gambling
