Look, I hope this is all true and that regime is going down but I have a hard time believing anything I see on the internet. Going forward, with the rise of AI, it will be even harder.
Also, the importance of the building Wagner just took cannot be understated, it's the heart of logistic operations in Ukraine and Crimea. Shoigu was here 24 hours ago.
Vladimir Kara-Murza, not that I think he will get out of prison.
Some of this footage is wild! But that being said...you never know. They freed Mandela when the time was right. We've been wondering for a long time now what it would take to get Putin out of there.
This might be it.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Man is TV news ever useless. There's potentially the start of a coup or civil war in Russia happening and they're all just blathering on about Trump, Hunter Biden, or the OceanGate sub. I get there isn't a whole lot of confirmed info right now and they're not going to be able to match the speed of what's posted online, but at least try to cover it.

I have a military question. If you're going to stage a coup is it the best strategy to tell everyone you're going to do it? I understand the propaganda angle and the need to bring soldiers on board. But still, seems like it would be far better to keep silent and strike.

Prighozin cannot do it with his mercenaries alone, he's looking for people to switch sides, and he is being very successful at it.
Wagner already fighting in Voronezh. This is halfway to Moscow.

Coup's work by gathering momentum usually, you take a few key buildings with your two or three divisions, announce you are in charge and pray to god the rest of the army is pissed enough to join you or at least stay out of the fight, they work when the plotters correctly read how pissed the country is and how they would welcome a change, they fail when they stall and lose momentum.

Hinges on how many Russian troops truly believe in Putin's mission, whatever that is.
He called the move a “march for justice” against the Russian military leadership — but, importantly, not against Vladimir Putin.
Prigozhin insisted the action is “not a military coup” and does not “interfere with the troops in any way”. Instead, he said he is targeting Russia’s top brass, including Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu.
What is the difference between "Russian military leadership" and Putin?

And how those troops have been treated. This might be the opportunity to take out the ahole commander and join with Wagner. A lot might just stand back and do nothing, nobody wants to end up on the losing side.

Better looting opportunities in Russia at this point probably compared to Eastern Ukraine.
