Are the young players playing worse than these vets? Its looked like a team effort most nights.
Singling out Parekh and Zary is dumb. Being sat every other game because they arent mistake free isnt giving the runway to gain momentum.

Im guessing it’s because management still thinks playoffs are attainable at this point lol delusional.

Man, oilers look really mediocre this year huh?
Maybe they're taking the Flames' place as that perpetual 17th place team

I would say those two players get sat for different reasons. Conroy said in the article (not directly but the Flames don’t have many rookies) why Zayne gets sat occassionally. For Zary, he strikes me as a modern day Jamie Lundmark so players that are not quite good enough for your top 6 and don’t provide what you want for a checking line or a 4th line are going to be sat. If Zary on a consistent basis shows something more than being a 30-40 point scoring forward with limited defensive abilities he will probably play more.

How many times do people have to explain the difference between how coaches help vets and youngsters deal with errors in their play and slumps in general?

I don’t think playoffs are attainable. Worst thing would be for the team to rip off 4 straight and think they have the horses, they don’t.

Frost provides good defense and crisp entries, but I don’t notice him much- 7 points in 14 games isn’t too bad though.

I agree if Frost could get a 2nd or even a little + and the recoup the value they sent out to acquire him that would be a decent move.
Chances are he might be able to considering the weak center market

Taking a while to get to 5000

Moving Frost means you could keep Zary at C and stop shuffling him around. Maybe he could get a 3rd and a 2nd or a 2nd and some salary back?

Stop quoting the troll, its much more enjoyable when you put the guy on ignore and move on.
Guy probably cranks his hog to pictures of himself.

I was hoping they could reclaim them and get something decent for both but I'd be happy with a 2nd back for Frost at this rate.

More to that post of yours breaking down the % of each player being traded by the draft. Surely Anderssons 98% likelihood has taken a major hit.

I've been around since the days of....oh gawed....the old message board.
and used to be a mod at one point.
Why have the existing/new mods allowed to keep certain posters around? In my humble opinion, we need to be banning a few more posters.
I certainly dont mind alternative view points and they can make for lively conversations. But some people need to either step away from the keyboard or go to HockeyFutures.
I dont post a lot anymore simply from the fact, that its incredibly taxing to deal with some of these people.
Just my two cents.
BTW, Royle/Dis....keep doing your thing. I find it enjoyable reading

I’d rather try and move yegor over either frost or farabee. Yegors contract could be an anchor, hard to see him living up to his AAV.

Nobody is trading for that contract. Big mistake by Conroy.

^ That's exactly why there would be no takers for Sharan now. Unless you want a Neal - Lucic type trade. For Ryan Graves for example.
Sharan has been doing some good things, but you want to see a lot more from him. Coronato is in a similar situation, but he was great last season.

I am interested to see how this team can trim some fat off the roster and hopefully create room to have a kid come up maybe a rotation of Wranglers throughout the year.
It makes sense to maximize value on Coleman if possible, Frost if possible.
