Health potions shouldnt have a delay, it makes Hardcore next to impossible to make it all the way to infernal. You can't exit without a delay and can't heal without an delay, not right.
They would have to cap the number of potions in the belt if they did this, i.e. so you dont have 1000 potions and pretty much can survive anything, but something needs to give for hardcore players.

Nope not in O&G. Civil design work. Economy wasn't great last year, and since most of my work is based on government contracts, funding lags for a year. So slow economy last year means I'm slow this year. It's okay though. The timing with D3's release worked out quite well for me in the end lol.

you can definitely tell that the Blizzard designers spent most of their time playing the ranged classes in D3. after getting frustrated with my monk in Inferno, i started a demon hunter. wow are they ever overpowered compared to the melee classes, i can spam all sorts of high damage and AoE attacks that completely mow over anything in my path and i don't even have to worry about getting hit most of the time. with a couple of decent 1-hand crossbows and rapid fire, i mowed down the butcher in 30 seconds, Belial's final form in 20, and i finished off Azmodan in about 15 seconds (racking up all the boss achievements that i could never get with my monk). at this point i'm going to keep going with the DH and end up farming inferno to gear up my monk so that he doesn't get completely flattened

I'm in the exact same boat as you. Hit a wall with my monk, started a DH and man it kills things fast. The good thing is since both the monk and DH's primary stats are DEX and VIT i can just swap gear between them for now, while I farm. Just need a good weapon for each.

I totally agree the DH is one of the more powerful classes.
I think it is funny because early on, most people thought that the DH was the worst class to play, simply due to the technical difficulty involved, but time has proven that they have enough tricks that survival at high levels is actually pretty possible, save a few mob/affix types.
I do think that when the damage goes down on inferno mobs on multiplayer games, it will most benefit the melee classes, which will hopefully bring things more in line
What level/build are you guys?

my monk is lvl 60 with 15k dps, 42k health, 600+ resist to all, and 70% damage reduction from armor. here's my build: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...Yjh!UYX!Zbacca
i can stomp through act I inferno with no problem, been doing quite a few warden/butcher farming runs. soon as i go into act 2 though it's a joke

Hehe, I'll also echo those thoughts as well.
I played on release date, didn't go to bed for a while, and levelled my Barb to 60 relatively quickly. Had alot of fun doing so, and felt it was a pretty fun class. Then I hit Inferno, and the massive gear check that it was. Remember, at that point, the AH isn't litered with decent blue weapons for less than 75k, at that time, 700 dps 1 handers were considered sick haha.
I got frustrated and re-leveled a DH to 60 in a very short time, mostly doing the old Azomdan -Retrieve the soul- glitches, with a 4 man group, and found it a worlds difference. Sure I get 1 hit killed by pretty much anything breathing on me, but I can actually farm relatively quickly and find decent gear quickly, something my Barb sadly didn't have the capability to do.

My DH build is here: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...TXd!aTY!YccZZb
52k dps, 27k health, ~130 resist all, 45 damage reduction.
Also, I can stomp Act 1 Inferno like it is nothing, but am only able half way through Act 2. I know the problem is my resists, armor and health, but farming Act 1 isn't getting me anything useful and the AH is crazy expensive.
I am toying with the idea of saving up for Inferno Whimyshire and seeing how I can do there. I think the next patch will nerf getting the staff without actually earning your way into act 4, so I might be SOL if I don't earn the cash soon.

I use this: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...jXV!YTe!YccYZc
110k dps with sharpshooter fully stacked, but it's so low because I'm also running 127% magic find. I've completely ignored survivability in this set. 15.7k hp, 140 is my highest resist. I'm a total glass cannon.
I currently farm act 3. I start on the quest "The Second Heart" and work my way down to Cydaea. If I don't get 5 stacks of valour in the 2 tower levels I go to Arreat Crater level 1 to finish it up. Kill spider lady, then go through the core and kill Azmodan. Currently sitting on 73 million gold from selling drops on the AH.

I wouldnt mind trying inferno whimsy both grouped and solo, to see if it is worth it for me to try and get inferno staff now or wait.

RMAH is live.
I only logged in a few mins via RDP, but seems that commodities, including gold are not working yet.
Some random items I searched for:
1.2k dps bow, $250
1k DPS bow with 174 dex. - $150
1k dps bow with 85 dex, $50
Prices will stabilize a lot lower than those I know, but they are still crazy expensive.

Has anyone not cared about this game since hitting inferno on one character? I know I have. I literally don't see a point to carrying on at this point. I got a decent weapon and I can rush people to inferno without issue. Personally I think the Loot/Drops/legendaries are a joke and that the game is not even good enough that I want to start another character and play through it again. Just wondering if anyone else feels like this?
More Minecraft for me I guess... I was really hoping this game would be something special.

People are fishing right now - these will drop in about a week's time. I figure most gear will end up in the $5-$20 range.

Me! I hit 60 on my WD. Got into inferno and decided to quit.
I didn't find getting my butt kicked by every single mob, and needing to kite regular white mobs to be interesting at all. I do know that I could farm hell and get more gold/gear, but meh.

I'm close to finishing normal with one character and I'm pretty tired of the game already. It's so devoid of actual action and strategy that I feel like I'm a playing a slot machine hoping for some big payout.

I've gotten pretty bored with it. I haven't played in about a week and I don't know when I'll actually go back and continue.

That's the thing. Normal and Nightmare can get quite boring really fast. You need to get to Hell difficulty before things become more of a challenge and it becomes more fun. Inferno after Act I is a little too insane but they are toning it down so that hopefully inferno will be a lot more fun by not dying every time you encounter a mob.
I have found trying all the different classes a bit more fun too since it changes things up a bit.
