Skinner let in 5 goals on 28 shots, his SV% still above .800, Pickard on the other hand, let only 1 goal, but in only 3 shots, SV% .667. Yeah, put Pickard in and watch him get pull in the third.

i love to watch the continual failure of the Tenderness. Guy has never been anything special, soft and relies on the wonder twins to inflate point totals on the PP, much like bouche bomb

Nothing like an 87MPH clapper to get you a nickname and hopefully an 80million dollar contract

That's ####ing crazy, right? Like has anyone here ever packed for a trip where you weren't going to a Flames game in another city, and you carefully folded up and packed your goddamn jersey?

Just hoping for a big friday here as a Flames fan.
Watered the lawn in my Reggie Kings jersey yesterday morning.
Wouldn’t mind doing that again tomorrow…

I'm assuming you stand on your lawn, holding the hose, and spray water from the nozzle? Sprinklers aren't that expensive and will save you a lot of time... are you from Edmonton?

Sure, Skinner sucks and it's hilarious, and the Kings won by a big margin last night when they should have won by a couple of goals. But the Oilers still suck. Systemically. McDavid is incapable of being a complete player. His laziness and defensive irresponsibility bleeds through to the whole roster. He's a loser.

This is an underrated post.
Watching the GM 2 highlights, I was like: "Which of these goals was Skinner supposed to stop?" Goaltending may be part of the problem, but the main issue is (and for a long time has been) the Oilers' refusal to commit to any sort of defensive structure.
Just look at Nurse/Bouchard on Byfield's goal. Or that Kings' PP goal where the guy slam-dunks it in from the blue paint. Even on the floater GWG in GM 1, the Kings' fwd beats a "backchecking" Draisaitl into the zone by a country mile.
Skinner may not be great, but the team "defence" in front of him is DEFINITELY...
NO! GOOD!

Kempe is an absolute sniper. You let him walk in like that; he'll score on a prime Hasek.

Skinner could be a great pickup for a team. His numbers will keep him cheap, but if he played in front of actual NHL players, he might not be terrible.
