This doesn’t exactly make it look like your apology was genuine.

Just went down to the Dome, dropped off a few things on the steps and shed some tears. Hope everyone on here is taking care today. Words fail me.

It's currently 1:09pm on Saturday, in Calgary, as I post this:
My son and I were hoping to go down to the dome and add to the memorial... maybe (somehow) experience some closure with other fans. Are they charging for parking or just allowing you to pull up and drop off?

This is a thread to mourn the loss of, by every account, two fine young men tragically taken from their families

Anything else, personal opinions about posters, player contracts and movement, reply's etc should be on DM's or back in threads from the time involved

as my Grandfather would put it, shut the eff up and take it outside, this isnt the time or place

Just went down with my son to drop off some Gatorade and skittles. Someone has a book to write messages in that is going to be sent to the family at the dome.

Still hard to comprehend. I think being a father of two young kids makes this hit home even harder. Seeing the family photos gets the onions going.

At this point the thread policing posts are outnumbering the posts that need policing so… I don’t know… self awareness is a skill. Use it.

The easiest way to get back to talking about Gaudreau is to get back to talking about Gaudreau.

Personally, I find myself kind of zapped today. Lots of tears yesterday, which felt kind of embarrassing? I’m not really afraid of showing my emotions but I’ve had family members die I cried for less. It kind of feels ####ed up. But today it’s mostly just dull.

I think yesterday I just really felt the loss and tried to feel every part of it. I’m hoping, however we get to say goodbye together in the Saddledome, that it’ll somehow make it feel better.

I don’t even know how the guys take the ice this season. This probably changes a lot of things for a lot of people.

I'm exhausted today and I think processing this all day yesterday is the main reason why.

Merideth's posts were beautiful. I couldn't get all the way through them but the words I read and pics that I did see were amazing

It’s not embarrassing.

We watch these guys more than we see some family members.

We are fully invested in these guys and the team. It’s not just cheering for a piece of laundry. It’s a game but it’s also not a game. It brings people together creates friendships and those memories you will always have.

It’s probably hard for some people to relate to that. I’ve been in a sports family my whole life with soccer.

This is a significant loss. John was like family to us. His family was like our family.

This whole thing ####ing sucks. It feels like the hits just keep coming for this fanbase.
