I think the intent was to find out the POSITION you perform (whether that be cameraman, producer, etc) not the regularity of the work you do or who you've worked for.
Again, saying you have worked here or there holds no weight if you're just a camera guy, not someone who actually deals on the business side of things.
Don't feel the need to divulge information that makes you uncomfortable, it's for the sake of your credibility on the subject, not the end of the world.

I don't think being a World Champion is meaningless nor do I call the quality of hockey, "bad".

Being a world champion isn't too meaningful when you aren't competing against the best.
If I beat my kids at our World Chess Championship not sure there is a while lot of meaning in that.

Was reading Jay Onrait's book ( http://www.amazon.ca/Anchorboy-Jay-Onrait/dp/1443429473) and it has some stuff about when TSN took back the NHL rights from Sportsnet which was kinda concerning. Keith Pelley was in the charge of it when TSN took over and is in charge of Sportsnet now. He wanted to do all these wacky moves - they hired some host from The Weather Network because they wanted a female host. He wanted comedians and bands during the intermissions, they had puppets doing analysis (actually puppets not Glenn Healy).
They had focus groups and everyone told him this was stupid but he went forward with a lot of it. The female host got fired before the first show (replaced with Duthie) and obviously the comedians/bands/puppets are gone now too.
All in all.. kinda concerning.
(puppets are mentioned here - http://www.tsn.ca/columnists/james_duthie/?id=238199)

Actually she quit. Likely what Pelley said the job would be - fun - not hardcore hockey - wasn't the way things were developing.

I heard Warrener was being scaled back to Tue-Thu now as a Mangers decision by Kirsh. Time to start pinching the pennies at Rogers already!

This is smaller news in comparison to TSN keeping its hockey on air staff but TVA Sports has managed to poach and sign Felix Seguin who was the #2 commentator for RDS behind Pierre Houde. Seguin will call the 22 national Habs games next season plus other games. He called the Senators RDS games and other non-Habs games.
I am unable to find any english links so far, so here is the french link.

If anyone is able to find an english link please post it.

Did you mean unconventional sports casting? Not trying to be a dick - just clarifying.
There is no shame in running a camera, pulling cable or working in the broadcast truck...while that may mean you work in the industry, it does not mean you are any more knowledgable than others. The fact that you earn a living by doing it probably actually diminishes the validity of your argument, as you have a vested interest in getting more work (even when it makes no economic sense).
As you seem to be reluctant to offer a general job title/description (not sure why this would be), perhaps you can tell us if you give directions, or take directions during broadcasts? Or is it something else all together? Are you in front of the camera?

League sources told the Ottawa Sun the Senators are just dotting the i's and crossing the t's and the club is close to announcing a historical, long-term deal for the local television and radio rights.
An announcement should be made in the coming days.
While the current TV rights are held by Sportsnet and radio games are on TSN 1200, both agreements expire at the end of the season. There has been a bidding war for the club's local package between the two broadcasters.
It is not known which side has won the bidding but the agreement should be in place by midweek. The competition between TSN and Sportsnet for Ottawa's rights heated up after Rogers signed a 12-year, $5.2 billion agreement to take over the national broadcasts.

If Leafs rights are the crown jewel, what are Sens rights? The hammer that the crown was formed with?

If TSN can get the Senators it helps keep them relevant in Eastern Canada. They wouldn't have national rights but they would still have the Sens, Habs, half the Leafs and the Jets.
Which is pretty much perfect for them since they didn't care about Western Canada anyways.

I agree with you that TSN does not care about the west very much but they do have the Jets regional contract but that is small in comparison to the Canucks rights.
The same comparison can be made for the Senators against the Leafs and Habs. The Habs english regional rights expire at the end of the season. It will be interesting to see if they go to Sportsnet or TSN.

Definitely, but I just means this would keep more of their exposure out east. If not for the Leafs being split they'd have all the central to eastern coverage

I'm guessing that likely had less to do with pennies and more to do with the fact that Warrner doesn't really have more than 2 days worth of material a week in him. I really enjoy him, but he doesn't have enough juice to warrant a daily spot IMO.

Tsn wins Senator regional rights
RT @SunGarrioch: Can confirm Bell Media has won the local broadcast rights and has signed a 12-year deal. Should be done this week. #Sens #ottnews
