Great episode! Though so many of the watch are dead there aren't too many familiar faces left.
So... Stannis won't show up the wall will be cliffhangered until next season? Next episode is going to be back at Kings Landing with Tyrion for sure.
Tyrion's escape won't take up a bunch of screentime, I imagine Stannis riding in to wipe out the wildling army will be the prominent feature of the last episode

Stannis at the wall definitely has to happen, I think Jon becoming Lord Commander will end the episode. I just wonder with Bran meeting the children, or at least arriving at the destination, Tyrion escaping and visiting Tywin, Arya and the Hound "dieing" and the battle at the wall if they will have much focus on Daenerys. It would seem odd to not have the last 2 episodes without a focus on her but I guess to stop her story from treading on they might not.

If they follow the book then the episode has to end with Tyrion's escape and the final scene revealing Stoneheart. I think they leave Bran's, Arya's, and Daenerys' storylines until next season

Well I was kind of cheating knowing the title of next episode was The Children and assumed it would involve the Children of the Forest.
Based on the preview in this thread:
Spoiler!
The title could have a dual meaning with Daenerys in the preview I suppose it could have Drago eating the child as well.
I also think they'll have the Hound being left for dead. Leave room for Arya to get to Braavos right at the start of next season if they wanted to.
Now though I'm leaning more towards the story on the wall ending with Stannis showing up and saving Jon in the tent or something. Don't know if there's enough time to get back to the wall and have him be named Lord Commander, would definitely not include any of the politics like the book did if they show it this season. I think it would be a positive enough ending with just having the Jon and Stannis team up and leaves room for a positive episode next season.
- Bran & the tree
- Tywin's demise
- Arya leaves the Hound
- Jon , Manse, & sounds like Stannis makes it there too, hard to tell but sounds like his voice in the trailer
- Something or other with Danerys... my mind kind of glazes over what happens to her after she takes Mereen.
Waiting another year for the next season is going to suck.

Definitely think it would be tough to name Jon commander next week. Fair bit of stuff has to happen before that still.
According to a link in the other thread, this weeks episode will be 66 minutes (last nights had 51). A lot can happen in 15 minutes..

A lot of you might not like it but I think they should cut lady stoneheart entirely from the show and have some alternate conclusion for brienne and other deaths caused by her and brotherhood.
I have never liked what Martin did with Catelyn's character here - Red Wedding was a perfect end.

A little early to pass judgement on what Martin did with the character imo - she's had what, all of 2 scenes?

I agree. I was quite pleased when Catelyn was killed as I thought it was the one conciliatory aspect of the Red Wedding. Bringing her back to life just made me feel like I had been cheated.
From what we've seen of her in the books so far, I agree that they could do something different with that storyline on the show. The problem is that we don't know what Martin's plans are for Lady Stoneheart over the rest of the story.

So apparently Lena Headey (Cersei) posted this photo months before the Oberyn/Mountain fight;
Since then she has posted this, which I think we saw in this thread already:

So you'd think with multiple mentions of the children of the forest and the final episode of the season being titled The Children that they'd be open for discussion in the TV series right? Nope, that must be heathen book talk because someone didn't pay enough attention to the show, man they're getting crazy in that other thread

Yea I saw that and just decided to stay the heck out of it lol..
The Children is only half of it anyway, if someone was to somehow or some way bring up Bloodraven or reference him in anyway, then that would be a clear flag.

Damn I really need to re-read the books, I've completely forgotten scenes and revelations like that haha. Had to wiki it to remind myself.

This same conflict over the book vs the show happens on every single forum I go to, it's uncanny.
I still think the show watchers "only" crowd are stupid for refusing to read.
