Israel would have faced those same terrorists anyway, the object lesson for Israel Oct 7th taught them is it doesn't matter what they do they will still get attacked, Gaza was a self governing fully independent entity, as close to an independent Palestine you could get and it changed nothing
I have no love for Israel and the way it behaves but lets be honest here, there is no peaceful solution, the Palestinian side wants all of Palestine back, they want Israel to cease to exist

Let's not pretend Israel was playing nice until October 7th.
October 7th was a bunch of war mongers who benefit from the conflict successfully goading in another war monger who benefits from the conflict.
The poor Israeli and Palestinian people don't stand a chance in those conditions.

Deliberate mass murder and maiming of tens of thousands of innocent men women and children is not a conflict.
It is exactly what it is. Mass murder. Pretty much agreed upon genocide.
Tens of thousands of children are deliberately slaughtered.
Doctorfever. It's a conflict.

I try to believe, hope maybe, that the average Israeli and Gazan just wants to live in peace but I'm not sure that's the case really, I think the average citizen of either side wants to see the other side pushed into the sea, is happy to see all the jews/arabs wiped out
Israel's democracy is crazy but basically they voted for a right wing corrupt violent Government knowing full well they will kill Palestinians, Gazan's equally seem to support Hamas and want all Israelis dead
On top of that while it is hard to see Gazan independence separately from the west bank, I have no doubt it is anger inducing to watch your fellow Palestinians being shot at stoned their houses and land taken on the West Bank, but Gaza prior Oct 7th was a Palestinian state, it was independent and self regulating, Hamas throw away the very thing they purport to be fighting for in order to kill jews

I expect once the Israeli hostages are released, killing will resume immediately.

Terrorists not being truthful isn’t something that should be surprising.
Does anyone here with friends or family in Gaza know what people there think about the proposed ceasefire agreement? Is there any chance that Hamas isn’t ’in charge’ in Gaza after the ceasefire agreement goes through with the hostage / prisoner exchange?

Correct! I think that's the main problem.
When both the Israeli and Hamas terrorists have been lying consistently its hard to have trust in negotiations.

Not sure what that question has to do with me agreeing with you that both Israeli terrorists and Hamas terrorists consistently lying will lead to trust issues in negotiations?

No idea what you're on about?
I'm just agreeing with you that both groups of psychotic, low life, deliberate mass child and women murdering, rapey scumbag terrorists propensity for lying will create trust issues in the negotiations.
What's triggering you?

When he doesn’t get the reaction he wants his attention seeking starts to get nonsensical. Happens all the time, best to ignore it.
