Based on the one yard statement, Fan 960 had been speculating that they expected a resolution in the next 24 - 48 hours. I don’t know if they have discussed that sort of a timeframe on radio up till now though.
Francis didn’t get anything out of Treliving. Says the Flames are downplaying the whole thing and Sutter claims it is media driven
I hope that doesn’t mean that they have gotten the feelers/understanding that they are the backup option (which honestly from every report seems to be the case)
In comparison to the Flames goals, it really seems like Eichel tries to avoid hugs after scoring. It looks like he prefers to do a skate by himself waiving to the crowd, and just go for fist bumps.
Am I the only one seeing it? just seemed to stand out a little.
Jack doesn't like hugs, wont like playing on the Flames. More news @ 11
Jk.. made me laugh though, what a funny thing to critique.
Flames core consisting of young American players I think helps us if anything.
Monahan, possibly to a 3rd team not on his NTC
Two of Dube, Valimaki, Pellettier and/or Zary
2022 1st
Things still up in the air include:
- Will salary be retained on Eichel?
- Will salary be going out such as Zadorov to balance out the cap
- is this actually enough value going Buffalo's way, or are we overrating Valimaki/Zary/Monahan? Monahan in particular still has zero 5v5 points this year, which may be the wrench in the cogs
- Are the Flames willing to give up Dube with Eichel out nearly all year? Maybe not.
- Would there be conditions on the 1st - games played, 1stOA protection etc?
- Are the Sabres satisfied with the potential of Valimaki or Zary, or do they look at current performance and ask for Kylington, Coronato, etc?
- Does Vegas simply have a player (Krebs) that swings the tide in their favour, all else equal?
- How does acquiring Eichel /moving out Monahan affect our ability to re-sign Tkachuk, Gaudreau, Mangiapane, and Kylington? That is a lot of contract year guys. Gaudreau and Monahan are close, we don't know if that ends up being a swing factor.
Also JFK Jr. also figures in here somehow, but his AAV is unclear.

I think people are making assumptions just because they are on edge.
The latest report literally said the Flames and Golden Knights are the two finalists. Nothing about one being more likely than the other.

Haha I noticed it too but wasn't going to say anything unless someone else did. He likes to gloat in front of the other team's crowd for sure

You and I are a rare breed. Flames fans AND VGK fans.
I had a soft spot for Vegas because I like the city and go there a lot. And their gear was decent (pre gold helmet). Now I don’t hate them like some here (because I don’t blame them for playing the draft well), but I kinda dislike the UFA advantages they have.

Im pretty sure this is literally the only response that Treliving is allowed to give. Even if he was 10 minutes away from making the trade he can’t discuss plans/attempts to acquire another team’s specific player or it’s considered tampering.

It most likely means that he can't comment on another team's player.
Given that its not sealed and done right now, I'd wager their best offer isn't enough for Buffalo.
Have the sense that this is a case of them wanting something in Vegas' system the most but if they can't get it, Calgary is there as plan B/consolation.
